1-ad hurts big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what the hell. I bought a bottle of 1-ad from ergopharm (spelling) last week. Today I took three capsules ar 2 pm with a meal. Shit dude, by 3pm my stomach started to hurt like I had to take a bad dump, but I did not have to go. By 3:30 my stomach was killing me. It even screwed up my workout at the gym. It is now almost 6pm and my stomach is still hurting. Anyone else ever have this problem with 1-ad. I m ean, I have taken androdione, diol, norandro and nor-diol and have never had a stomach ache.

You should always start things with a smaller dosage and build up a tolerance. however, I would look for any pains when urinating b/c that could be a bad sign. I bet the pain was caused by the introduction of a new substance especially that much at one time. try spacing it out. My friend used two bottles and gained 13 lbs. i believe he used 400mg/day for most part

Interesting, my stomache started bothering me (not hurting, but it was noticable) after taking 1-AD for two days. I guess that's why they say to take it with food.

Damn it. I just got dome writing a long reply when I realized I was in the submit new thread mode. what a bummer. I just want you guys to know that the 1-ad I took was the improved diol brand, so hopefully I wont get any urine burning. Guys I was up until 11:30pm last night with pains in my stomach. I missed my post-workout protein drink and the nice steak dinner my woman prepared for me. It is now noon the next day and my stomach is still bothering me a little bit. I drank a Weight gainer shake-Nlarge2 a little while ago hoping to add some caleries that I missed last ngiht. Also I hope it settles my stomach. Anyway guys, do you think I should deep six the 1-ad and use the androsol I have as it will by-pass my stomach or should I use the 1-ad in small amounts. I dont want to go through the pain again. If you don't like your 1-ad or any other product that is sold at a GNC take it back. GNC is reimbursed for the cost of the product. 1-ad is in the catalogue (ergo). They will accept anything as long as it is in the corporate catalogue. You do not need a reciept. If they give you any shit, ask the little bitches to review their return policy. GNC charges so damn much for everything and their services fucking suck. I swear they try to hire the most retarded people they can find.

Well unfortuneatly I did not but the 1-ad at GNC. I know better and I buy either on-line or from a discount nutrition store. Anyways man, my stomach is still fuc-ed up. I have not been able to eat today and the pain is still there. Anyways if I am still sick tomorrow I will go to the doctor. Man, sux big-time. I already decided that the 1-ad is history. I am going to use the androsol and I will probably pick up a topical nor product to. I cant beleive how much this effected me. ANy other replies apprecaited.

I've two more bottles coming as soon as off backorder. I do 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off. I usually take 4 or 5 capsules a day, ( 1 every couple hours) and don't take any past 5 pm. This program seems to work very well.

i'd read that the later you take it, the more chance you have of messing with your own hormone production. Just one way, (that and the cycling) that I try to minimize any negative effects on my natural hormone production.

Rotty - that sucks that you're having such a bad reaction to 1-AD since it sounds fairly promising. Yes, you should've just started with one cap rather than 3. Whenever first starting a PH cycle or trying out a supplement that is new to your body, start with a low dose to test your tolerance. I would think that if you took a week or two off the 1-AD, then tried again with one cap 3x/day WITH FOOD (as per ErgoPharm's directions) you may not have the same ill effects.

If you decide not to do this, I think MrMemphis was suggesting that you take the 1-AD to GNC whether you purchased it there or not. If you do not have to have a reciept then they are not asking for proof that you purchased it there. Sounds like they don't give a sh*t since they get reimbursed for the unused contents. At least try it...better than $60 lost.

billyde - where are you ordering from? I've found a couple of online stores (DPS & netrition) that say nothing about 1-AD being backordered. I put a couple bottles in my shopping cart and got to checkout with nothing said about it. I'd think if it were on backorder they'd state that on the product's page.

one other thing i really like about 1-ad is all the weight i gained, bout 20 lbs , sticks. i mean i lose nothing when i take a few weeks off. i imagine after the next cycle i'll go from 201 lbs to just under 210 lbs. i think the only thing holding me back is not lifting, hee hee. i will be in a gym during my next cycle.

Topical 1-AD

I get gas on 1-AD even with just 1 capsule 3 times per day so I've made a topical preparation. I will start using it this week.

In making the topical, I wrote Pat Arnold (inventor of 1-AD) and asked his advice. He was very helpful and replied several times as I had questions. He said if you use DMSO use 75% dmso and 25% distilled water. (your 70% solution should be fine).

Or, he said use 80% grain alcohol (Everclear) and 20% isopropyl myristate (IPM: a penetration enhancer without the smell of DMSO).

I have DMSO, but decided to go the IPM route. If you live work with other humans, you won't like the way DMSO makes you smell.

Patrick suggested a 50mg 1-AD to 1 ml of solution concentration. So, I dumped the contents of 125 1-AD pills into a solution of 200ml grain alcohol and 50ml IPM. I stirred it up several times and left it for several hours. After a while, there was some settling so I carefully tipped the bottle and poured off the top into another bottle (this is called decanting), leaving the sediment on the bottom of the first bottle which I threw away. Patrick said this sediment is just the insoluble binder all manufacturers add to their capsules. I decanted the solution about 3 times and am now left with about 8 oz of topical 1-AD in a 50mg/ml solution. Total cost was $90 (about the price of a bottle of Norandrosol) from 2 bottles of 1-AD $83 plus 200ml of grain alcohol $4 plus 50ml of IPM $2. You can get the IPM from www.lemelang.com or www.reneal.com.

Patrick said to try to apply 300 mg to 600 mg twice per day after showering if you can. Spreading it out as far as possible. Spray bottle is best but you need to measure the output of each spray. That would be 6-12 ml. I'll probably apply the smaller amount at first, showering only in the morning.

When Ergopharm gets production up, he'll probably offer a topical version much like this. Perhaps it will be cheaper. I hope so.

If your DMSO liquid is pure DMSO (no water) then:

1. Put 90ml of DMSO in a clean glass

2. Add 30ml of distilled water

3. open 60 capsules of 1-AD and dump the contents into the above mixture and stir.

4. Let it sit for several hours, stiring every hour or so.

5. You'll see a bunch of undisolved stuff on the bottom. I had about 10% of the total mixture undesolved. This is binder that Ergopharm and others put in their capsules. You don't want that in your sprayer, so without stiring again, pour off the top of the mixture (the brownish clear part) into another glass.

6. Wait another hour or so, if there's more sediment at the bottom, pour off the top again into another clean glass.

7. Once you're satisfied that you've separated out all the undisolvable solids, you have your mixture. Put it in a sprayer. I used an old Norandrosol sprayer. It says on the sprayer that 7 sprays are 1ml. Each ml of what we've created has about 50mg of 1-AD in it. So to get a target dose of 300mg of 1-AD per application, we want 6ml per application or 42 sprays over the larger, less hairy parts of your body (abdomen, chest, back, legs if their shaved).

Avoid your nads and nipples (ouch).

And please, please, please, test this on a small area first before your spray it all over. You might be one who reacts poorly to DMSO. There's only one way to know.

PS: I used 60 caps as an example because that's how many come in a bottle from Ergopharm. 60 caps x 100mg/cap = 6 grams of 1-AD.

Disclaimer: These are the instructions I received from Patrick Arnold at Ergopharm. I have not made or used this mixture. I did just finish making an alcohol/IPM version of topical 1-AD and started using it yesterday. Very easy, non sticky, non crusty application. I'll let you know in a week if it seems to work like the oral.

There is also, the chance that some of the undisolved matter had additional 1-AD in it. I don't know for sure. Patrick never told me how long to let it disolve. I figured "hours" was safer than "minutes" and more "practical" than days.
