    Warm/hot Water After Workouts....

    Hmm...really? I'll give that a try sometime. :)

    Warm/hot Water After Workouts....

Here are a couple of reasons against extremely hot showers after heavy lifting: Extremely hot and cold showers or sauna baths should be avoided after exercise. These extreme temperatures increase the workload on the heart. Especially after an intense session, a shower that's too hot may cause...

    not being sore

Yup, soreness, pump, "burn" are hype terms that don't necessarily equate to squat in terms of muscle growth. They may be motivating or pyschologically gratifying but do not mean much otherwise. All that matters is getting stronger and developing your muscles.

    Warm/hot Water After Workouts....

Supposedly, if you must shower immediately after lifting, you should take a luke-warm/room temperature shower. Neither a cold nor hot shower is good for the muscles after intense training.

    I Need Quick 5 x 5 Advice

Good advice...You're not supposed to be jumping up 20#'s. It should be a incremental load increase of 5#'s each week assuming you were able to hit all reps & sets. But good progress. :bigthumb:

If my strength drops off anymore, I'm gonna kill myself

That's a good question about sleep...I know first hand if you're not getting enough it'll kill your lifts in the gym. I haven't been getting enough sleep (roughly 5.5 - 6 hours/night) and I'm on a low-carb diet (have been for the past 8 mos.) so when I don't get enough sleep I definitely don't...

Hand position for DB side lateral raises

Yup, you're right. When doing db side lats, you should come up parallel to the shoulders and make sure that you're pinky knuckle is higher than your other knuckles <-- Like pouring a glass of water from a pitcher. Very good analogy. :)

    Wendy's Chili

If it was just beef and beans, it wouldn't be too bad for you. But there are other things you need to look out for such as sugar & fat content.

my friend's back is uneven! what can he do to fix it (pic included)

It's not that bad (in the 2nd pic)...Perfect symmetry is nearly impossible (I can only really think of Zane when I think symmetry). His back looks fine and all I can say is learn to take pics better. (<-- Both pics, your friend is tilted...Why? This distorts the perspective and skews what we're...

Can 5x5 be done twice a week?

If you're going to do that, do an ME day and have a DE day. I don't suggest working the 5x5 system two days a week for the same body part.

Can 5x5 be done twice a week?

Have fun overtraining!!!! Seriously, as previously mentioned by a couple of others, do not work out a bodypart more than 1x/week. Unless you're a newb to training...newbies seem to be able to get good growth despite overtraining/bad training/poor diet, etc. But if you've been lifting for a...

    Corned beef healthy?

Way too much sodium! You'll also probably gain wait from water retention from all that sodium if nothing else. If need be for convenience sake, switch to canned tuna (if you don't like tuna you can buy canned chicken). Dunno if you're on a keto diet, but if you are add some full fat mayo and...

    Weight Plates & 5X5

Doesn't matter what exercise you're doing. You need to be starting off lighter if you can't go up 5lbs the next week. That means if you have to start with the bar so be it. I had to do this with some of my lifts and bring it down quite a bit from what I normally did and it was embarrasing at...
