Warm/hot Water After Workouts....

Is it true that you shouldn't go into a spa or take a hot shower after you work out your muscles, because it will effect their growth or something? Someone told me that and I am very curious as to its truthness. Thanks guys and gals.

i also heard hardcore bodybuilders hop in a supercold shower to ensure their blood starts flowign really huge to parts of their body so they get max bloodflow to the muscles post workout.

immagine if that helped you +.2% each time you did it after a workout. if you did it every dayfor a year that is:

7.3 extra muscles.

alternating hot/cold water is even better

I thought ice/cold water, constricts bloodvessels, thefore slowing bloodflow down??? that is why they ice swelling to try to lower the blood flow to the spot??

Supposedly, if you must shower immediately after lifting, you should take a luke-warm/room temperature shower. Neither a cold nor hot shower is good for the muscles after intense training.

Why ?

I've read something about cold water causing vasodilatation = more blood = good....
