money is printed by the federal reserve, which isnt even ownded by the government. A piece of paper that says 20 on it is not backed up by ANYTHING. Silver is backed up by the fact that it is a precious metal and will always have value. You cant just make more silver. Sure you can mine more, but a lot is getting used in industry. There will be a point where people with silver certificates will not be able to get their silver because there isnt enough silver.
