For the very religious, marriage means something different than it does to others. That said glad isn't exactly a model conservative Xtian.

But The good christian believes we are called to get married and honor god through that union. Scoff if you want but extended auditions are not really needed when you see marriage as the starting point of a relationship rather than a finalization of what already exists.

My parents got engaged after three months of dating. 31 years later, it's still working. I know another couple who were married at 21 (guy) and 18 (girl). Nine years later they are still devoted.

I'm not saying the model works for everyone. I'm just saying the "dont get married till xyz" isn't needed for everyone either.

that's great. The people you know are the exceptions, and you know that. You know as well as I do that statistically speaking, he would have a better chance at a successful (lasting) marriage if he waited a while. And no, he's not a model christian, he is a christian in word, not in deed.

all you can do is tell them they're stupid and not to bug them later on if things don't work or they got nothing but drama. Let them learn the hard way, esp when they don't want to listen to you (they never do, you men are always fascinated with the hot booty which of course goes away one day). Just move on with your life.
