Graphic Designers or Photoshoppers, Help?

I randomly decided to work on production of a new Demo/Street CD randomly out of nowhere. I didn't think that the random recording levels would be able to be cleaned up enough to even be street worthy but after hours of production, I think I have gotten the mix to a level that is far decent enough for a DEMO cd and even alright enough for a "bootleg" street quality cd.

I figured since I recorded it, I might as well do SOMETHING with it.

Now I was wondering who feels up to designing a CD case cover & CD label (on the cd). Any takers?

I need me a CD Case Cover and a CD Label to go ON the CD...If i shoot you some Ideas you think you can fab something up. Nothing to crazy, a stock image of a city at night, a turntable or 2, and then Ill give yah a title or something for it...

but i'm not cheap.
 
Well since this isnt a Studio quality CD. Although I just tested it and I actually had to turn down the Bass and Treble in my car, I think Ima let the Plankster work on this one.

Although, if anyone wants to Host the final MP3 file and sell it to people online, everyone can have a cut :-) lol

You have absolutely NO IDEA what is going on in this town or the 5 or 6 DJs locally that I just BLASTED for not actually mixing, putting on Playlists, and using software to mix for them. Myself and a couple people I work with know exactly what's going on with the title.

Not really worried about people caring about a title for a mix cd. I can point out hundreds of terrible titles to things, not really a big concern. Only people that would even care about the title would be people that are overly critical of everything and look for things to antagonize on a daily basis...But hey, being positive doesnt work for everyone :qt:

if something has a shitty title, i'm far less likely to pick it up and listen to it. while i am being critical, i'm trying to offer you some perspective since i actually listen to your music.

This isn't going to shelves...And I don't even remember the album names for a lot of CDs. I remember song names and artists, album title normally has no baring on most people, they want to know the Track titles.

There aren't alot of local DJs putting out CDs or MP3s, most of this is promotional. I am going to be in one of the local studios recording an actual studio quality cd in the coming weeks. I will work on a cool mainstream title for that one.

let me guess... you're NOT a graphic designer, or in advertising or marketing, right?

here's a good tip- choose what you want your target audience to read, then make it so easy to read/remember/see that if they only see it for a split second among a hundred other images, they'll remember it and understand it.

did your accomplish that? no.
 
Here's a tip: hire a pro graphic designer. If I created something like that for the labels for one of their artists - they'd fire me on the spot. Then again if you don't care and it's not important - then just accept whatever.

Here's a tip for you...read the entire thread. He isn't marketing in stores.

He pm'd me with what HE wanted on the cover and I put it together. Made a quick (less than 5 minute) rough draft for him to make sure I was going on the same page as with what he described. He liked it where it was.

He was also on a very low budget (nothing). I said i'd help him out for free as I wasn't doing anything anyways.

Did I accomplish what he wanted in his budget? yes. so stfu

Yeah, I could have done this today but Ive been busy with some other things and he was nice enough to help out...not a professional project. I have one of those coming up in the next few weeks that will warrant some money being kicked out for it. this was just a promotional project.
