Ok boars I took the MSF course, got my license and am about to make a move on a bike.
Its a Yamaha V-Star 650 with windshield, saddle bags, aftermarket pipes (loud), aftermarket grips, 90 day full warranty from dealership. Bike has 18k miles. Price is $3k (will joo them down to $2700 cash talks).

Keep in mind Ive never owned a bike and the only riding experience Ive had is the MSF course I just took this week.

Hey another virgin rider! Bro I'm getting my Triumph Bonneville in 3 weeks.

Does your state make the course mandatory? In Georgia it's not. I can get a MP and start riding, though I have been practicing on my father-in-law's bike.

Price seems good to me. And goddamn that's a low seat. Fuck what is that thing, 26 inches?

Buddy, you need to stop looking for deals. You GAVE Jon79 your money.:D

Bike looks good, but hard to tell by pics if has been repaired after being laid down. Most bike with 18k has a hig probability of being laid down or worse...especially an entry level bike. Just something to consider. Looks sharp though bro. HAve you booked it out on N.A.D.A.?

NADA values aren't accurate at all.. KBB is better, but still overpriced by up to a grand.

Didnt know if KBB did motorcycles. Yeah NADA normally is a bit off but it is at least some type of reference.

How the hell would i ever be able to tell if laid down after repaired? Carfax or something?

first look at the paint from a few angles...just like with a car or truck you can see how the repaint and the factory paint look diferent. Thats becasue of the difference between the heat used to bake the paint at a factory and a repair shop. you can also look at the alignment of the front forks and the rear tire...no way to get it back to perfect...the tracking will be a little off. That will also show on the wear of the tires if they have a few miles on them. Another thing is get on the floor and look up...look for non-factory welds, thats a sure sign of repair.....hope some of that helps.
