This is the thing.

Just because someone doesn't have a lot of posts doesn't mean he isn;t knowledgeable. But he is untested.

And since EF is one of the more progressive sites, if the guy isn't familiar with the info here, chances are he's just going to be parroting some outmoded information from some other sites resident guru.

At the same time I think ANY opinion that may seem rash, irresponsible or flat out wrong, no matter WHO gives it, should be addressed. And i mean the OPINION -- that doesn't mean attacking the person.

I have to say though, here at EF, the mutual respect is supprisingly high. Not too much of that bullshit going on. Newbies are always welcome.

I think its the attitude of SOME Newbs lately that is the issue. There are many being confrontational with "senior" members, telling them that they are flat out wrong, stupid, etc...I have noticed this in several posts where they arent expressing an opinion, more like FORCING "gym facts" and "BroOlogy" on people and not accepting any other views.

Its one thing to express an opinion, its another to act like a know-it-all ass. lol

Thats a shame as just got through reading some posts by Terumo where Ozzie was asking for help and he gave a lot of interesting information and would have been an asset. He did not have many posts but assume he has been elsewhere but he certainly had something to offer.

This is where seniority must come into play. If some guy with 10 posts is starting shit with some guy with 1000 posts, you have to take that into stride.

I don't get to post too often more of a reader than a poster. However, I did post on here from 2001 -2003, but when I rejoined I decided to use a different screen name. I see remember lots of different bros that use to post back in the Mustang-18, Huckfinnaplex, and many more in addition to lots of guys that still post daily. I am surprised that many of the bros that have been posting from back then are still going strong today, but I think a lot of them have financial ties to this website.
