article i'm reading in the la times by a fruit is crying about how unfair the filibuster is and how it should be appealed.
niggs are getting nervous and wanting to change the rules

Coakley thought she was a shoe in in this blue state because she's a woman and has a "Dnext to her name
She had a 36 point lead about 2-3 weeks ago

If the current train-wreck bill gets passed, it will take decades to fix because the political powers won't be unilateral again for a long time.

Even little future tweaks will be chocked full of payoffs and earmarks because the bill will be such a political football.

In retrospect, I believe it's a terrible idea to combine so much power and ambiguity into a single piece of legislation.

i don't know much about either (broad is a lawyer?) and from what i've heard Brown is not the strongest canidate, but i've never witnessed such pwnage as when he (brown) said that shit about the seat not being kennedys or the dems seat.
that is a goddamn powerful thing to say and the feeling it produced has swept the political landscape

It's a terrible idea for sure, not many peeps whether dem or rep really like it.

You don't like it cause you want to hoard your $$$, like the rest of the trickle down, in your pocket, never to be spent to help the economy conservatives :)

I'm mean-spirited that way!

Chris398892343 wants to profit from taking-out everyone's tonsils and I want to profit from selling him the medical supplies!

Mo mo money!!!

I just want free pens and sticky pads dammit!

Can't do that anymore unless it's specifically in conjunction with education or in-service training.

No more coffee mugs and drive-by sammiches for jooooooo!

I know, it's bullshit. Atleast they can still take us out to dinner or bring us food if we pretend to pay attn to what they say

It's really pathetic. They government wanted to stop implant companies buying weekend ski vacations for physicians and their buddies and wound-up preventing front-line sales reps from buying sammiches for an already overworked office staff that can't leave the office for lunch.

We just don't do government well.

Sigh. I have to pick between an arrogant bitch and a pretty boy??? I will vote but I'm not looking forward to it.

I routinely swipe those free pens...

I have some of the best drug rep pens...
no need to have an opinion on the products/pay attn to the spiel...AND i get the free shit
too bad my hrs just got cut...to none

I liked the "this isn't the Kennedy seat, this isn't the democratic seat" line
it made a very good point

too bad I'm in the next state over

I liked that quote.

I do not agree with Brown on all of the issues but this health bill is a mess. I don't get why I have to pay a 40% tax on my health care just because I am not in a union. (and that is just the tip of the iceberg).

Brown is a LTC in the Army too. Mr. Mom and all kinds of good shit. At least he is down to earth and not a political robot like his opponent. He'd have my vote if I were still in New England. I would change my residence just to go down and vote.

What makes people think this is a vote against mandatory healthcare when the state of Mass. has already passed mandatory healthcare?

you get taxed like 300 bucks if you are uninsured in Mass. All to to help pay for the poor

because the democrats wouldnt be able to break a filibuster

or atleast thats how i understand it
I get the potential repercussions. I just don't necessarily agree that stopping national healthcare was the motivation for defeating the Democrat. From what I understand she figured she'd never lose and proceeded to do just that by taking a vacation 3 weeks before the election. She got what she deserved.

Having said that Democrats still have an 18 seat majority. George Bush never had an 18 seat majority and he pretty much did whatever he wanted.

He explicitly ran as the 41st vote against the Healthcare takeover.

that's because the libtards, for all the hating they did to bush, didn't have the balls to stop him and IMO are just as responsibile for his sucess and failures
