Movie Review : 2012

AAP

Plat Hero
Platinum
Some good scenes and action, but wayyyyy too much bullshit and predictable moments involved.

Verdict : wait for DVD.

Feel good movie??? LOL. Think the 70's will make a come back soon, everything is gloom and doom out there. To much doom and gloom always turns the opposite way over time. Where's my disco ball and polyester suit???

i thought the movie was really good

i was told if i liked the day after tomorrow that 2012 would be even more entertaining. i liked the day after tomorrow quite a bit.

I LOVED it - but it was almost too much - too little cometic relief. There was a couple barely there jokes that got huge laughs from the audience because they NEEDED a laugh. I think its a good move to see on the big screen because of the type of movie that it is. Not the same at home, no matter how big your tv is, or how good your surround sound is. I say, see this one at the theatre.

The plot was shitty as all the characters (except I loved John Cusacks character but I just like him in anything) but I wasnt watching this movie for the plot anyway...lol.

The writer/director is big into global warming awareness so that probably added some weight to the theme behind 2012 and wanting to "scare" people. Big lol @ the Mayans though when their doomsday comes and goes like every other one before it.

I saw it last night. Definitely better in the theaters, because it is that epic, blockbuster kind of film which is best on the big screen.

The visual effects were cool, but it was too much of that silly bullshit (impossible escape sequences, etc.) I like John Cusack as well, but the role was rather unremarkable and blended in with the rest of his shit.

Deep Impact, in comparison, was more reserved, reasonable, and realistic.

my aunt, uncle, cousins went and said it was a 2 hour 40 min movie that started out strong and then died out in the middle till the end.

is it really that long???

So we go from being able to outrun the cold weather in Day After Tomorrow to outrunning an earthquake in 2012.

I dont know which one hurts my brain more.

well said, pretty much the entirety of american pop culture hurts my brain anymore. So I could see myself going to this movie and basically zoning out while slightly drooling and just tell my friends "nudge me when it's over". It's all pretty much mindnumbing.
