I'm already lookin' ahead, just to go back :)

I already see the endpoint where I'm at now and want more.

Props to you, do it up. How easy will school be now that your actually dedicated? Easy as hell.

School was always easy. It was the laziness factor that held me back as well as a lotta people.

Thanx, bro.
Yea, education is ALWAYS a good investment of time or money.
I'm in school.... again. Since being a paramedic, I went back to school twice.
But still a paramedic. Can't just walk away from it, ya know?
Going back will open TONS of doors for you.
Good luck!:supercool

That's why the EMT drives and is only allowed to take vitals. :)

no ones ever regretted going back to school. although if you are a firefighter and already have a degree why go back for another?

Not having a degree in your field can hinder advancement, if your employer is willing to foot the bill...why not?

IMO, there are two kinds of college students. The ones that enjoy learning and those that see it simply as a means to an end. I'm the former but most are the latter.

firefighting must be different from law enforcement in this regard. its actually better to have a degree that is NOT criminal justice when going into law enforcement because they are going to teach you what they want anyhow, and want you to have other education.

Criminal Justice is a BS degree....lollloll...you might as well have a degree in communications.
I should add...
I picked up a CJ minor at OSU as an excuse to stay an extra quarter and avoid the real world. :)

you're not so much a firefighter when you start getting degreed up...you'd be more into forest management, and fire is a big part of that but not the only part.

Aren't degrees a plus when climbing the ladder in management? I know it's very political in public service when it comes to promotions but making chief sorta requires a college degree.
