I'm just not getting sore from workouts anymore.........

I don't know what it is. Even when I was using I would still get that awesome soreness and "pump" the next day. I fucking crushed my biceps last night.....I did one excercise 5x5, than 3x6-8, and finished off with two sets of 10+ reps, till I failed. But I didnn't just hit failure in the last excercise, I went to failure multiple times in both the 5x5's and the 3x6-8's. My arms "should" be limp and lifeless. Not that funcitionality is a bad thing, but I kind of liked that feeling the next day....it signified you got after it. On the other hand it is good that I can go play golf today.

I don't know what's changed except my diet. I recently changed to semi vegetarian status.......still eat alot of fish, but the only meat I eat now is steak cause it can be cooked rare. I haven't eaten chicken or beef in probably 5-6 months. I mainly eat fish, eggs and lentils now. I don't know if that matters as to why I'm never sore anymore. The only supplement I occasionaly take now is resveratrol.....protein wise I'm only taking hemp protein and spirulina. I can't even take multi vitamins anymore because they gave me heart palpitations. Some of you here know my heart problems so you understand. That was the major reason why I changed my diet around cause this heart thing scared the shit out of me. I'm starting to be able to get after it and really go to failure now without feeling like my heart isn't keeping up. The pumps during the workout are still there, but not after anymore. I actually had REALLY good arm pumps last night. You know it's good when you look in the mirror and your arms look like they're shooting a "most muscular" when you're not even trying....lol. But today it's like I didn't do nothing to em. We'll see if they grow and get stronger, that'll take a couple months to see. I was just wondering if it's a good thing or a bad thing that you're not "that" sore the next day.

Soreness is not an indication of growth. I train most body parts twice a week and am almost never sore. Soreness comes from not training frequently enough in my opinion.

Look into switching up your workouts. Try DC style training for intesity for 12 weeks at a time. You will grow like never before. Also called Doggcrap training. Google it.

I dont' right now, and most people couldn't do the routine that i follow.. I've been getting mad pumps i mean the rhomboids were so pumped they were on fire however recovery has been very fast for me the last 6 weeks or so..

doing the new routine allows me to do resistance training 5x week 2 days upperbody/legs/cardio/ day off 2 upperbody/cardio

so far it's really working for me with no lactic acid build up, and no strength loss in later workouts.. I am doing PP's tren and sustain 2x week but that's it..

So i'm not sure.. diet is 200g protein 200g carbs 60g fats but i'm carb depleting 2x week

hope that helps. it's really weird but as long as i don't stall, i'll keep up this pace..

I'm going to be going to 3x3's after next week. So you don't get sore at all? Even before my heart problem I got sore all the time even if I did the same workouts two successive weeks. It was always if I had enough to go to failure multiple times, than I was guaranteed to be wrecked. I guess I always thought that meant "growth".

Yeah, I would definately change up your workout. Your muscles have a way of adapting to lifts and routines so they don't get as sore as the first few weeks of a new routine. IMO you should try the Omega Pamphlete, the first four weeks I had so much lactic acid in my legs I thought I was on prop!

I just started this new routine. It calls for a switch after next week. But that was the third workout for arms in this routine, so it's still a fresh workout. With the amount of failure sets that I did yesterday, my arms should absolutely be sore. Especially the joints. I usually get ridiculous forearm tightness the next day after that kind of workout. I did heavy barbell curls, than moved to heavy straight bar preacher curls, than one arm dumbell hammers than back to the preacher for one arm dumbell curls. My arms feel like they're completely healed today. I still have some "risidual" pump when I flex, which is feeling I usually get 2-3 days after a bicep workout.

the only thing thats sore for me the next couple of days is my legs and sometimes my chest and shoulders.

everything else gets sore to the point of wanting to scream, while working out, and for a few hours after...but not so much after that
