Do you have any studies that show this? It seems like quite a generalization, but there's got to be a decent formula out there somewhere. I would think that someone who's 125lbs will not be able to digest as much or as quickly as a 250lb person.

True, that's why 1.5 gram per/lb on a 125lb person is 187 grams daily and on a 250lb person is 375 grams.

That formula works pretty well actually.

I try to spread my 350 grams per day in 6 meals. That's an average of about 58 grams per sitting. Works perfectly. And when you use hydrolyzed whey isolate, the amount of the protein digested is much higher :)

How much is too much??
is there some sort of formula to know how much protein a person should be taking each day?

some of my guys I work with use 1-2 grams per lb of bodyweight.
I also have guys I work with use 2-3 grams per lb of bodyweight.
it depends primarily on your overall goals.

Right..... so my LBM is 166LB so that makes it up to 332 grams of protein/day?
Synthia 6 i take only has 46g protein/serving ( 2 scoops).... id need heap loads of the stuff or have i been a complete knob and misunderstood or cocked up my maths working this out.
Im 90kg with a BF of 16% and 5ft8 tall

It's called meat. Eat some of that. I hear there is protein in it.
 
AHHH... now this is something i def know!! Being south african i eat MEAT and loads of the stuff. Biltong ( south african version of beef jerky .... just better:artist:) is my fav thing ever and eat shit loads of that alone. That is loaded with protein.

There is no set scientific formula. For muscle building purposes 1-2 grams per bodyweight has been the standard. People have tried more and less with varying results so nothing's definite.

The body can only absorb so much protein except for hydrolyzed and super plasma which don't require digestion. Hydrolyzed tatses like ass. Super plasma is in BIG BLAST -- which also contains digestive enyzmes so you get the most out of all the whey and whole egg it also contains.

Extra protein while on cycle makes a huge difference.
 
i eat 3g per lb on cycle and 2-2.5g per lb off cycle spread between 10-12 meals. i think these statements of how much you can digest at a time are extremely inaccurate. there is definately a limit but that limit changes all the time depending on what you are doing, what you are eating, and who you are. there is no set number. it could be between 30g and 100g probably.
