Puddles, Dude, when it comes to music I get what U send out brah. U know this, bro. I mean damn dude U always bring shit that makes me feel like a fucking CareBear or My Little Pony or some shit like that. Damn dude. I feel ya brah. Yup this is U, without a doubt.
I always think of some of the the Past conversations, bout solitude and just chillin solo style. U know what I mean. Dig it I do
A change of speed, a change of style. A change of scene, with no regrets, A chance to watch, admire the distance, Still occupied, though you forget. Different colours, different shades, Over each mistakes were made. I took the blame. Directionless so plain to see, A loaded gun won't set you free. So you say.
You got 2 peeps, the subject and the object. The subject who is analyzing the whole thing is callin out the other person's pattern of doing the same relationship thing over and over and being unaware, and never learning. They think that a new/different romantic partner will be the answer, different situation, but since the same thing is just gonna happen all over again cause if U don't change the internal configuration or pattern, than yeah U get the same outcome.
This kinda lack of awarness leads to interpersonal disaster and some major desperation, anger, hurt, sorrow. Whoever is the author, well they are hurt pretty bad. I do not think the loaded gun is suicide, though it may very well be, I think its a metaphor for blaming and talking shit about the other person. Like blaming and hating the other, does not alleviate the pain, ya know? The second verse I"m gonna skip, cause we got the gist. Well written, and captures context, feeling, and how things can get fucked up in a short verse. Nice pick Chazk.

The author ( Ian curtis )spent most his adult life sedated on anti siezure meds, later were found out to worsen depression ,cuase deep zoning and feelings of low self worth. The drug is not used anymore today due to these side effects.
The song was written a few months before he chewed a handfull of pills and hung himself
I feel exactly the same way as you do about the lyrics. He watches the same thing over and over. Each time hoping something else will eventually happen but relizes no matter what he does or anyone does things just never seem to work out for him.
The song is very touching to listen to when you take each word for word let it into your ears deep into your soul.
Joy division ( Ian curtis lead vocals )were months away from a u.s tour where they were destin to become famous. Makes me wonder if Ian had made it to the u.s shore and lived to see their biggest hit " love will tear us apart " make the charts and played on MTV would he have changed his way of viewing the world. Prob not
It's so much better
When everyone is in
Are you in?
It's so much better
When everyone is in
Are you in?
It's so much better
When everyone is in
Are you in?
It's so much easier
When sea foam green
Is in fashion
Are you in?
gimme time on this one. Now I know some little Heartland Queen may have successfully thrown my shit off. -Hell breaking benjamin I expected, take me like 5 minutes on that bad boy, this one... gosh maybe it is BB, LOL. I dunno, this one may be over my head cause of the millions of meaning it implies. Gimme a lil time though, it probably wont' come to me, cause well this one is kinda hard. I like riddles though. Tricky, Tricky, Cindy.
The funny thing is like it usually is not what it first appears to be. Like there was thisNick Drake song -Pink Moon-. It has like a chill sound and a tranquil feel, they even played it on Volkswagon commercials to sell to like the introspective college type demograph. Song is straight up bout death, and the spiritual side that aint so pretty. Its really an esoteric song bout the darker side that most peeps don't see. U would never get that unless U really listened to the lyrics.
Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - Mondo Bongo Lyrics
I was patrolling a Pachinko
Nude noodle model parlor in the Nefarious zone
Hanging out with insects under ducting
The C.I.A was on the phone
Well, such is life
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair, oh
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair
For the Zapatistas I'll rob my sisters
Of all the curtain and lace
Down at the bauxite mine
You get your own uniform
Have lunchtimes off
Take a monorail to your home
Checkmate, baby
God bless us and our home
Where ever we roam
Now take us home, flaquito
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair
And i'd give up forever to touch you
'cause i know that you feel me somehow
you're the closest to heaven that i'll ever be
and i don't wanna go home right now
And all i could taste is this moment
and all i can breath is your life
and sooner or later it's over
i just don't wanna miss you tonight
And i don't want the world to see me
'cause i don't think that they'd understand
when everything's made to be broken
i just want you to know who i am
And you can't fight the tears that ain't comming
or the moment of truth in your lies
when everything feels like the movies
yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive
and i don't want the world to see me
'cause i don't think that they'd understand
when everything's made to be broken
i just want you to know who i am
And i don't want the world to see me
'cause i don't think that they'd understand
when everything's made to be broken
i just want you to know who i am
And i don't want the world to see me
'cause i don't think that they'd understand
when everything's made to be broken
i just want you to know who i am
i grew up around jazz, rap, R&B, and i must say this song popped in my head when i saw your thread....
"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams, come along"
[Chorus]
Nothing Less, nothing less
[Grouch]
Well I bet you that I get the last laugh
Bet you that my funerals packed
And the tune you all blast is my crew's shit
New shit or old it don't matter
Bold I get swole in the zone where you gather
I'm alone but together with the folks
Not really knowing where I'm going
But my goal's to provoke thoughts
Devote lots, show some fools the ropes to hop
Scope the top from above it
Love it, then leave it alone
I believe that I'm grown showing the way
Owing the bay for going astray, now I'm blowing away
Like that bag in American Beauty
Truly blessed and nothing less
[MURS]
I'm nothing less than a criminal
With minimal convictions
Serving up my customers a hustler of the diction
Crushing my afflictions, I'm sick in the mind
Depends on how you ask
And I can do anything depending on the task
I tend to be on blast more often than not
Between a rock and a hard place
I soften my spot, talking a lot
That's if my CD's get played
But if that's not the case then I had nothing to say
My crew been tight since we was up in the bay
Been down for a while, now watch us
As we take it, up and away
Something to play when you're laying on back
Felt the love when I wrote this
So I know y'all feel what I'm saying on tracks
[Chorus x3]
[Slug]
The first step was birth
Now forever cursed to analyze his self-worth
The second step was belief
He had to make that move before he even grew teeth
The third step, respect awareness
He could trip over the next step if he's careless
That next step, number four, was love
Can't touch it without stepping the other three above
As he froze for a moment
Ignoring the remaining ones
He was approaching, focus stolen
Looking down at his hands to see what he was holding
Nothing, empty
No choice but to keep going
The fifth step felt like a misstep
It was a re-evaluation of the first four
The anxiety, fear of what it hurts for
Caught in somewhere between the earths core
And the first floor
When he finally made it to step six
He could no longer see it for what it is
All of his views and family and life were askew
Number six had been twisted by the previous two
The last step, the seventh
Was the only thing left that kept him outside of heaven
One last breath and everything could be pleasant
Life through death, man's final lesson
[Chorus]
[Sunspot Jonz]
Nothing less, god bless the days I rest
In this mess called life
Trying to be the best for the best dressed
Female, but she just brings hell
In the wishing well, I drown pieces of my soul
Born to rebel
I'm the black James Dean of the underground
Yelling at shows
Like rallys in Cali, I blow rhyme under the trees
Wanabees talk shit all day
But don't got a tape to play
Nothing genuine to say
So they bite the next man
Like they gonna make him the best man
In this crusade the future looks black
Like Taye Diggs' forehead
We can't go ahead and let the whack break our spirit
[Chorus]
[Scarub]
I know my expectations are high
But I refuse to lay low
No compromises only improvising
From what I manifest in the mind
Even though they say no
I follow through if it's true
You know those type of serious questions
That are asked in a playful manner
So if assumptions are wrong
They can act like it's a joke?
"What do you do for a living?"
That's the words they spoke
When they first heard that I wrote to stay alive
While they work a 9 to 5
I work just as hard as you
But got a different focus
And while you focus on me I'm gonna be all that I am
All of SIAM, while others run at the mouth
With nothing to show
I'ma use what I know, manipulating my flow
From here to there
I origami the situation from what is considered
Unsuitable to something beautiful
The outcome is legendary, and nothing less

Dude great fucking Song I really, really dig it.
Like I wanna just chill or have a dinner date to that shit. Makes me looks smart too, I can make convo bout that shit. Not like American Psycho Style where he goes in to how Genesis created pseususudia or whatthefuckever he rambles on bout before he goes fucking mad lethal, lil red corvette style on em, but yeah talk bout how that song throws u off just like Pink moon... the music says one thing, the lyrics absolutely quite another. So fucking kewl.
This is the thing I love the song and wanna get romantic, but U look at the lyrics it appears to be bout on the surface the deculturization of mexican culture with mayan roots and the industrialization and westernization. There are sublte implications of the dichotomy that also happened between the Mexican Man and Mexican Woman, cause like in the mid part of the 20th century, my dates are kinda fucked up on this, the mexican man was so belittled by American Culture, alotof subconscious anger still today I would think as a culture, cause of the influx of soldiers, traders, business men coming in to mexico and taking their women. Dudes were belittled. So, the stealing from the sisters lace and whateva, signifies this conflict. It didn't help that culture thats for sure. Basically lets rape mexico. Mine one half and make the other a resort. Its also kindofa
That is the surface impression. I get. U have been on fire all day. Seriously, though I see U picking some Golden State all the time in NBA Jams, dunno Why. Just do.

Eva Cassidy - Fields of Gold
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Among the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold
So she took her love for to gaze awhile
Among the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold
Will you stay with me will you be my love
Among the fields of barley
And you can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold
I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We will walk in fields of gold
We'll walk in fields of gold
I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We will walk in fields of gold
We'll walk in fields of gold
Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
As you lie in fields of gold
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Among the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
