LOLOLOLOL i have lost a TON of money this week!!!

and i can't wait until Obama is elected, he's going to take half my
earnings and redistribute it to the poor. golly gee, i can't contain
myself.

what a brilliant plan he has for the economy. target the entrepreneur.
target the very people who create wealth and jobs and PUNISH them
for their success.

i dont really want to get into politics - but this quote is what's wrong the the republican side...

just pure selfishness...god forbid you take a small hit to your income to help someone that didn't have the same opportunities as you..

he's not targeting anyone - his ideas are like lending a helping hand - something most people wouldn't even think to do on their own.

everyone says that everyone has an equal shot in the world, but it's just not true.

yes, some of the money will go to lazy people who are a drain on the world and no thats prolly not right...however, the thousands that it does help takes a precedent over the situation.

i am fortunate to be in a situation where i may be in college, but my family pays and one day id like to think i will pay them back, even though they dont need it.

everything is always me, me, me, bigger bigger bigger, house, cars, vacations - think about the people havent driven a car, lived under a roof, seen an ocean, even left their zipcode..

and dont even call me a hippy...end rant.

when you get out of the sheltered halls of academia, and off daddy's dime and have to make YOUR own way in this world........i suspect you will change your opinions somewhat.

Easy to have such opinions when
1) daddy pays all your bills
2)you work as a greeter at walmart and tell people you are a rich self employed mogul

Once you either make your own money and have to pay your own bills viewpoints change dramatically.

You, rnch are dead on!

i work at walmart? no - and i admitted to my family paying for my school? check.

you sound like the sophomore in high school who think he knows the tricks of the trade because he's not the small fish anymore.

so let me get this straight...

once i graduate - i will have more conservative economic/social views (i use the term conservative, but i should say greedy)?

i beg to differ...my views were once greedy/conservative and considered myself a republican. It wasn't until i entered higher education that i realized the difference between right and wrong.

say you make 500k/yearly and clearly have zero financial stress - thats great - you should be rewarded for your hard work - dont say that a couple thousand more in taxes is going to hurt you (i assure you its NOT a life changing amount if you make that much)

give a little to the families that can't catch a break in the country - not only is it morally correct, but you'll find a sense of well being when you do.

and leave the attitude at the door - nothing worse than not being able to stay respectful while discussing issues.

The wonderful think about the internet is everyone has their own views and can be anyone they want.

I have a great reputation in my industry as well in my personal life. 500k will not cover my expenses.

I was not disrespectful, just old and have seen many of you pass by my door.
I made a comment based upon a post. If you took it personally ok, then either own it or say, well nothing to do with me.

Now sonny good luck. Have a nice life and I wish you well.
