I have been threatened via phone by an ebay seller..

SEnd a harassment complaint to ebay. explain exactly what has taken place. they do not tollerate that type of behavior at all.
Cancell the transaction through paypal as well and move on. I would call the cops as per your discussion with him and his threats. They don't find that kind of stuff funny at all.

I bought a laptop on ebay 2 days ago. Today I got a call from teh seller and I was told that pay pal is holding my money that I paid till I would send a positive feedback before he sends the laptop or they will release the funds after three days since the laptop was delivered.

It seems that this is a new policy as some accounts are randomly selected and have funds on hold...

I told the seller that I cant leave a + feedback before I see the merchandise as it is foolish and absurd....he said that he cant send my laptop till he has the money at hand....

We got in a heated exchange and I told him that I leave hima negative feedback if he doesnt send the laptop...then, he blew off his lid as the threatened me as he knows my address and phone number and called me mofocker.....in the back he heard my baby crying as he mentioned that " so you have small kids"..

I told him that teh call has been recorded and I will call the cops..

I also called paypal and I was advised to file a complaint..I could also call my phone company and the police...

I am still debating though...

What would you do?

you should do all of those things, then get him to come over and beat him crippled (*do not kill him, there are worse things than death)

You have to been out of your mind to threaten a buyer ...I told him that I cant leave him +feedback before I get the laptop and if he doesnt wanna sent my laptop I will leave him negative feedback.

The guy must be derailed as he thought that by threatening me , he will scare me and leave him + feedback. He can send me the laptop and paypal will release the funds after 3 days....The idiot cant understand that there is no way for me to get the money back from paypal as they are already in his paypal account but are being withheld due to the new security paypal/ebay policy.

I will never buy anything over $100 from ebay...

I reported the guy to Ebay...I figured out what he was doing as I checked his feedbacks....he was buying shitty/used/broken computers and he was fixing them ....then, selling those back pretending that he had teh computer for 6 months and that it is in great condition...
