ever taken a job in a field you KNOW you hate simply for the work/$$$????

I am a Welder by trade, but am considering going back to my old job working for an Auto Insurance agency.

I literally "loath" the industry, but I'm not working right now, so I guess I have no choice................

Pride doesn't pay the bills.

sometimes u think u will hate a certain field.. then u grow to like it eventually.. happened to me

yes and it wasnt so much i loth the trade but i have a serious ankle injury that does not let me climb or stand on ladders a lot. i was an Aviation Electrician in the Navy for 12 years and got out on disability. i got a job in insurance for a few months, didnt work out so i was forced to go back to being an aviation electrician for Northrup Grumman. after trying to fight through the pain i had to quit a few months later and go back to bouncing.

Not in an industry but for a person. I once worked for an executive office center and we'd temp occasionally, I temped for a guy that I really, really fucking hated working for (the work was easy, he was an asshat bar none). A few months later he needed someone to fill the job permanently and offered me the position at a SUBSTANTIAL pay increase (I'm talking nearly $10K). I turned him down. Some years later he again needed someone and this time I jumped at it. I loved the money, but the stress really trashed my health.

Thanks for the input people,

much appreciated....................
