Breaking out a lot!!

AWILD

New member
I have always had an issue with acne since I was 13 or so, but recently it is getting rediculous on my back, and it's creeping towards the chest a little. You guys/gals got any quick tips that might help me out.

ps. I do shower right after my workouts.

Sorry if this has been covered, just gimme a link I guess if it has:mad:

prescription antibiotics work wonders...

lame.. umm, what have i come up with pon this subject??.. lemmer see..

- showering immediately after sweating.
- tanning maybe every other day.
- i've been using pantothenic acid (vitamin b5) and my acne has gotten way better... approx 10grams/day though (7ea 500mg morning, 7ea 500mg afternoon, 6ea 500mg night.)
- i've been washing with tea tree oil soap that i got from natures fare, works great.
- i've been washing with nizoral dandruff shampoo and it works great.
- i also use glycerin soap bars and they work great.
- stay away from junk food, if you notice you break out after eating something specific, stay away from that particular food and see if you notice anything (i stay away from chocolate/whey protein bars.)
- DON'T USE BOUNCE Fabric Softener sheets, or any fabric softener sheets... use liquid downy no dyes or perfumes added.
- DON'T USE ULTRA Laundry Detergent... use Tide Free or ABC Original.... far more easier on your skin..

first thing my dermatologist told me was not to use fabric softener sheets and to not use ultra laundry detergent. those sheets leave a film or particles on your shirt and you sweat and when sweat or water comes in contact with that film or whatever, you get zits. wsame goes for your nice soft towels you use after your shower... youre wet, you dry off with a "bounced" towel... hello zits. ultra lundy detergent is just more harsh on skin... thats why you need half as much, it is stronger. I trust ABC original, but i'm giving tide free (not ultra free) a whirl for the hellofit.

- drink a shitload of water.

- keep your pillow cases and sheets clean (i change mine every other night.)

- don't touch them... probably the worse thing to do but the hardest thing not to do.. just dont touch them... if one needs to be popped, use kleenex so that your hands dont actually come in contact with your skin. immediately after dab some witch hazel on it with a q-tip or cotton pad or whatever.

good luck.

Thanks, this is helping me out. It might be my new whey shake that I am taking. Looks like I'll switch that out and try some of the other stuff too. Again, thanks.

stay off the acutane i heard it makes u scuisidal (sp?) try monodox, or minocin i used those when i was a freshman in hs, worked great.

My wife uses tooth paste on her face and swears by it. It really seems to work as well. The dog loves it also.

Its not so much face which toothpaste works for. Its the small ones popping up all over my back
