Hopefully posting this in the right area sorry if I’m not.

I created a post on evolutionary org and was told there’s a community here too. Would love everyone’s guidance if possible thanks

I’m a father of 3 children and still with my lovely wife. For years and years I’ve wanted to change my life, and now is the time. I just have to convince my wife to do the same with me!

I’m 57 and overweight. I’m 110kg and about 5 foot 11 inches. I’ve been doing some physiotherapy on my leg, as you can see one of them is longer than the other which causes knee issues.

So far I have lost 3.5kg. I saw all this Huss fuss about peptides and wanted to try something that would make my diet easier. So for the past week I have been using retatrutide 10mg.

Felt really strange poking myself for the first time haha….

My plan:
Retatrutide two injections per week of 1.5mg each injection
Be active throughout the day
Plenty of steps from walking
Gym membership for cardio. I’ll signup tomorrow when they open.
I can do upper body weight training and keep my physiotherapy sessions for my legs.

So many peptides and stuff everywhere and for everything it seems. Would love to learn more about it. I’m doing this in hopes that the community here can help me please.

Here are the pictures my wife took:

Please message me if you think you can help me everyone. I’ll be checking here a lot and trying my best to lose the weight

Thanks everyone

Welcome to EF, Brother! Congratulations on taking the first step to turning your life around!

I know you’re only new to the enhances/peptide game; but at your age it might be worth getting your testosterone levels checked and have a look into TRT!

I‘ll be following along and supporting your journey, bro! Reach out if you need any help or anything, we’re all here to support and help one another.

Someone on evolutionary org recommended the same thing funny enough. Not sure if I did further tests going to call my doc tomorrow and check for you

Great to see you on here bro.
- Calorie deficit
- start with 10-15 mins elliptical post weight lifting
- aim for 6000+ steps (10,000) if possible per day
- I can send you a training program if needed focusing on upper body
- plenty of water, high volume food and activity

You just want to progressively go longer on the cardio overtime, so start slow and increase the time by 5mins every week or so each session

Here if you ever need me, but you’ve got the whole community around you brother. You got this

Can’t wait to see the progress you make. 1 month, 3 months and 6 months you won’t even recognise yourself.

Best of luck
Good luck .. stay strong !!
Be sure to come on here and read some blogs by others to get some inspiration when things get tough .. because trust me they will !!

All the best
U will love retatrutide brother, its a game changer!!!
Subscribing to your log brother
Thanks guys, will be focusing on the diet and staying active

Yeah I’ll be doing 1mg for my next dose. 1.5 is really strong but no side effects to speak of which is nice
everyone is different - on 2.5-3mg i didn't have any sides but couldn't get my calories in - so I am on 1mg a week now on this cycle.
If you have a fair amount of BF to lost you will probably want to go a higher dose but titrate up - and inject AT LEAST twice a week.

Fair enough mate, for me I’m just testing the waters

I’ll let this first dosage keep me going until it wears off and then try 0.5mg

Thanks for the advice guys

Just want a realistic goal.

Also thank you @IronHQ and @Unitedau for helping me out in messages, appreciate you both
Anytime my friend and thanks for adding me here. I will keep a close eye on your journal and I’m leaning towards a strong possibility to add you as a logger if that’s something that might interest you. You’re the perfect candidate for it but most important we’ve already discussed your goal, expectation and all the finer details.

My other logger is @gar71 and he has his journal here. It’s worth checking out

I think 10-12kg is an easily attainable and realistic goal. I’m liking the plan so far! Slow and steady wins the race.

Are you tracking your steps too?

How did you go speaking to the GP about your bloods?

Hey @Casperdad, welcome to Elite my man, congrats on taking the first step towards health and happiness and if you can get the wife to join you that’d be fantastic mate.
Reta is a great starting point, stay active, keep your protein high, weight train, but start slow, be careful and reach out if you need help, you’ve landed in the right place mate, there’s a lot of great people on Elite that are more than willing to help.
It goes without saying I’ll be following along with great interest and if @Unitedau wants to partner with you, I’d highly recommend giving it a go, he’s a great man and very knowledgeable and supportive 👊👊

That would be amazing my friend. You’ve been so helpful and honestly I’d feel a lot better to have you by my side. The goal would also get my wife to eventually join my journey. I’ll checkout his journal now thanks my brother

If the misses eventually comes onboard then I’d be happy to support you both.

Keep the journal active and inviting and at some point we can lock in a date to discuss logging possibility and all the nitty gritty stuff.I am very giving and supportive, I think the forum and past loggers (besides one) would be able to chime in on how well I look after my loggers.
