I've been to a few al anon meetings in my early adulthood but honestly found it was a bunch of old women complaining every week about their drunk husbands. It was enough for me to realize I didn't want to be them and left the relationship shortly after. I read a study recently that AA doesn't have quite the success rate it claims. Interesting read.

I was in AA for 5 years hardcore. It got a knucklehead like me sober. I have continued to pursue God since. Got 10 years on Cinco de mayo.

I've read, an I read an article that mentioned the study also and there is a pill you can take that makes people lose the desire to drink at all.
