Suggest honeymoon destinations

cabo san lucas, visit nan's fam in costa rica, or a personal fav of mine.... florence italy

I've been to a couple nice weddings in the Mayan Riviera. Dreams Tulum is beautiful.

Honeymoon? I'm heading to Bali in November. I would suggest Thailand, Hawaii, Indonesia or South Africa. We are either going to Bali or South Africa..kind of scared to fly in Malaysia right now.

If I had stacks I'd go to bora bora..her one of those over the water beach houses.

He's not wrong you know, as much as I hated living in Costa Rica, it's a great place to vacation. It has gorgeous beaches, rainforest, dry forest, cloud forest, active volcanos, inactive volcano craters, adventure such as snorkeling, fishing, diving, white water rafting, canopy/zipline/rapelling and so much more.

Budget?
Desired length of stay?
Do you care about time in transit, and if so, how much do you care?
Do you just want to bang and hang on the beach all day, or do stuff?
How much do you care about things like ethnic food and shopping?
Do you want to do something all inclusive? (or maybe a less rigid option like hotels with a meals+local beer/wine added kind of deal? Or neither...)
EDIT: Oh! Also, what time of year this will happen matters, too - hurricane seasons, typhoon seasons, monsoon seasons etc. I'd want to tailor my suggestions to places that have ideal weather during that time of year.

PM me if any of this is semi private.
I am the shit at helping people put together travel plans, I've acted as a casual travel agent for friends for years. I can suggest locations, hotels, places to eat, etc.

Oh yeah??? Sweet! Okay I'll try...

One week if we are off the grid. More maybe if we have internet/cell signal. Transit time will matter if we only have the week.
We want the option to do stuff, but the option to not do stuff too (lol). We plan on lots of just relaxing and banging, but don't like to be around a lot of people so like, if a beach is busy I'd end up staying inside so a beach would have to be pretty secluded. So, for me anyway, I want somewhere romantic, good food, etc. I do not plan on doing any shopping or anything like that. I would say the most important part would be beautiful scenery/views and good food/not a ton of people/commercial. Our accommodations are important too, I would like for it to be the best!

I'd say luxury accommodations, great food and scenery are the most important factors. We both want to see, eat, taste try things we've never before but don't want to be around a lot of people either. Got any suggestions? lol

Time frame anytime June- September

Got it! That gives me enough to go on. I've got a long day tomorrow, but I should have a list of suggestions for you in the next day or so. I already have a few ideas about specific hotels that would fit your needs/wants.

Great thanks! xx

Do you know anything about Disney (world)? LOL

can we take the kiddos just to Disney (not epcot, MGM or anything else) and do just 3 days or is that not enough time

You definitely can't do all 4 Disney World parks in 1 day, but 3 days is a good amount for young kids to do just Magic Kingdom definitely.

I took a 5 year old and stood in line for 2 hours at the Bippity Boppity Boutique just to meet 4 Disney princesses. So in short, I you plan on really doing most/all the rides and experiences as opposed to just kind of breezing through picking and choosing, you need more than one day but not more than 2-3.

There is some cool stuff at some of the other 3 parks and in Orlando in general. Like I don't know what baby Plank is into but at Islands of Adventure (Universal Studio's other park) there's a whole Marvel comics section, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is in there, the Simpson's neighborhood is in there, all with rides. Not knowing him, I think most boys his age would love that park.

He would love the Marvel comics section.

Where should we stay on the Disney property? Would We be able to do Disney and Islands of Adventure in three days?

Do you stay at a Disney resort or just get a hotel in Orlando or what

I haven't been since I was 14. My parents stayed on the property when they took us. I'm sure a lot has changed in 20 years. Lol

We stayed on-site the first time and off-site the other two times. The on-site rooms are tiny and the transit system requires too much waiting. Staying off-site (we stayed in Kissimmee) and driving a car to whatever park you want to go to is absolutely the way to go IMHO.

That depends what you're looking for. There are some Disney hotels for 100-something per night and some for 500-something per night. Do you want a restaurant in there or do you want to take the kids to Downtown Disney for the rainforest cafe and places like that for dinner? I could tell you some that are more kid friendly than others.

There are pros and cons to staying at a Disney hotel, and then would you want to stay there for the 3rd day even though you'll be at Adventure Island? If not, maybe instead you just get an Orlando/Kissimmee hotel for all 3 days. Lots of hotels have shuttles to theme parks.

You can do both in 3 days, I'd say 2 says at Magic Kingdom and 1 at Islands of Adventure. Magic Kingdom could take more or less time, it really depends on what you're doing there and how involved you are i.e. All the rides, all the character meet and greets, all the shows, but I think 2 is good.

rent a car and drive or you'll be sorry hahaha

If you're staying at a Disney hotel that depends solely on which hotel you chose to stay at and which park you're going to. I've stayed at Disney hotels and been taken to the park in minutes.

If you stay at one of the hotels that shares transportation with others or a hotel further away from the park you're going to, yes it's going to take a while.

They'll need a car anyways thoug if they're going to different theme parks.

If you both are into motorsports, I think ultimate would be Paris/Italy/Germany, go see all the factories (Lambo, Ducati, Ferrari), then rent car and drive the green hell.

First off, driving in Italy is a fucking disaster, especially with kids. I rented a car in Rome and thought I was going to die. Fucking idiots wops driving all over the fucking roads.

Yeah I agree with hat after looking ito it. Maui seems not for me. Busy. Where do you stay in Kauai?

Cindy, we rented a condo just a little bit off the beach. It was really nice. Look into condo rentals. They are the way to go there. Usually in Hawaii the resorts are really expensive...

I went to the Big Island last April and we stayed at the Fairmont Orchid, it's was crazy expensive...it was beautiful though

That's what I remember, staying on the property I was able to get there in minutes. I feel like I was able to get to the park earlier too. I don't know if I remember that right or not.

Thanks for the tip will definitely check that out

I was looking at this one resort it was like 35k for a week. Lmfao wtf

I've been to them all more than once..Maui was way too busy..Kauai is the nicest island out there.

my brother and his wife have been there like 6 times (i never have) and they gave me their opinion...however, i couldn't remember if it was maui or kauai, so i guessed...now that you say that...it was probably kauai hahaha

We got it narrowed down to Kauai, now just trying to find which place to stay.

Still might end up going to maui tho for a day, because there's a badass photographer there that we want to use.

Stay at The Grand Floridian or don't stay on a Disney property. I agree with the car then unless you're staying at TGF.

Have you researched a parlor for some Polynesian ink? Get one old school with the tapping of that bamboo stick thing in the ink (was too lazy to research wtf it's called to make it sound like I know shit about tattoos)

Bali is awesome. If your lucky you can get to see some executions by firing squad of Australians. Great entertainment and perfect for a first date.
