How Long Is Your Daily Commute?

Generally speaking I've made a conscious effort to edit my posts for length. And in cases where I simply can't (personally, ethically, artistically or just because I need to be long winded for the intended reader) I usually put both a disclaimer and Cliff Notes at the top.

I'm probably wordy because I'm a reader. I usually grind through several novels simultaneously. I actually had to get an app to speed up the rate audiobooks play back because it's so slow I can't keep track (or fall asleep).

My husband, OTOH, was quite proud of the fact that he finished five chapters of a book yesterday. It's the first book he's chosen to read in decades. Not that he can't read, mind you, the man is very bright, but reading (other than technical manuals) bores him to tears.

Good storytelling is an art and all art is as much a part of human evolution as technological advancements. Maybe more so, in a way. Technology becomes outmoded and is forgotten but people are still reading Beowulf and admiring the creative talents of our ancestors
