How can anybody watch this stupid fuckin' draft? It was playing at the brewery last night and it was so fucking boring. A bunch of has-been's and never were's sitting around talking about football instead of actually playing it.
 
Being selected 22nd by the Cleveland Browns instead of third by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night will cost Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel $12,407,560 over the next four years. That's according to Forbes' projections of the value of the four-year rookie contracts for the 32 players picked in the first round.

The Jaguars selected Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles at No. 3 instead of the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner. Bortles' contract should be worth $20,654,810. Manziel's contract should be worth $8,247,250.

it's a shame too...cleveland is a damn fun town...and i've never seen a larger population of slightly-above-average butt getable woman with big tits and tiny waists...must be something (good) in that damn lake water...

The organization has become a joke. The new owner is a Tennessee crook who thought he knew football cause he owned 2% of the steelers for a couple years. If he goes to jail the Feds could force the sale of the team which will be another hot mess. Manziel is like the first cool thing that's happened to Cleveland sports since they drafted Lebron...and look how that turned out. If they run Manziel out there on opening day next year it's going to be a disaster long term. He might have a few good games but as soon as defense's prep for him he'll start reverting to old college habits and then it's over. He needs to sit, preferably for 2 years but at least 1 for sure.

you think they will make him sit for two years though? because Cleveland is dying for a "star" I see him taking snaps this year. They released there 3rd qb today. So Johnny is the number 2 I think. But I don't mind the kid- its like dieon back In the day creating a brand.

no of course not they'll start him, like they've done with every 1st round qb pick for the last 15 years. In the end it won't go well, coaches will be fired...rinse repeat.

I have zero knowledge of X so I wouldn't know, but I'm sure like everything else if you do it enough there's a tolerance...which necessitates increasing the dose over time.
 
I love it how people are bitching about johnny manziel when it's been revealed Michael Sam agreed to a reality t.v. Show with Oprah Winfrey. At least Johnny has people talking about him because of his game (and not being a homosexual and using that for financial gain). The truth is Ray Farmer is making some awesome decisions, and our defense is looking sick. Brian hoyer is our starter, and Pettine is a legit coach. browns will be playoff bound in the next 3 years, mark my words. And we'll kick the shit out of a lot of teams this year.

easy there fella...they still have a lot to prove. I like the Gilbert pick but honestly I wanted them to take Mack. They still would have gotten manziel too. Mack and Manziel may have been one of the best drafts of all time. Oakland's probably gonna keep Mack as OLB which imo is a mistake despite how good of a pass rusher he is. He takes those talents to ILB in a 3-4 and he's the next Ray Lewis. That's why I was hoping the Browns would take him. Train him up next to Dansby for a couple years. Oh well.
