Plunkey ... plz explain

And yet last year Ireland was on the verge of needing an EU bailout. Providing a tax free corporate paradise hasn't done them much good.

Funny how their math never works out. Ever. It's all theory, which gets decimated by reality. Ireland's learning the hard way that just being a comfy couch for tax evaders doesn't do their people any good. I'll bet the lobbyists that were over there who got that whole thing rolling were promising the Irish politicians they could be Galts gulch.

A rising tide lifts all yachts, huh?

Liberals are willing to let all the small boats sink just to insure the yachts can't rise.

I guess they're sticking to their principals, but the poor & middle class can't serve principals for dinner.

Ireland is a spectacular example. They have:

1) A huge social safety net

2) A ridiculous business development arm (the IDA).

Basically any medical condition you can claim with a straight face gets you benefits in Ireland.

And any business case you can make with a straight face gets you and IDA grant.

And even in the wake of both those disastrous policies, their tax policy almost pulls them out of it.
