Exactly. They released it to counter the blood and gore games with a range shooting game. But you must try to understand the liberal mind. Logic has no place in liberal/socialist thinking. If anyone disagrees with their political messiah, its an automatic kneejerk reaction to think its wrong.

you're not thinking this through. It's not that his kids are more important than yours, it's the ramifications to our country as a whole. I'm sorry but the overall ramifications to our country if your kids get abducted "pale" in comparison to his kids. That's not saying it's any less terrible but facts are facts. Making a phone app for 4 yr olds in which they are simulating shooting weapons is the stage gate to playing the very same "violent video games" that La Pierre solely blamed on increased gun violence. It's retarded to make that claim and then provide a video game meant for 4 year olds which sets the stage for them to play first person shooters later on. It's not the app I have a problem with, it's a stupid little non sensical program that kids will probably tinker around with for 5 minutes before they yawn and say "this sucks". If my 4 year old really wanted to play this retarded little drivel I wouldn't care because I would have no plans on denying my kid playing FPS's later on....albeit with some parental guidance obviously. I wouldn't let my kids play stuff like GTA or the like where you get to make sweet calls like do I rape and kill this hooker or not? Those I have a problem with.

Why does the prez and congress get their own special health care, get to vote for pay raises for themselves, and get special protection and health care for their families? That is exactly my point. "Shooting" games themselves are not the problem. I play duck hunt with my 3 year old on wii. So criticizing this game is silly imo.

Ok, I could possibly give up that much. But how is that going to be enforced? Are these background checks going into any kind of database? Do you think that is going to somehow keep criminals from obtaining a firearm?

Well the way alot of these inner cities at least get this constant influx firearms is guys going around snapping up private sales and then reselling them to gang bangers with severe markups. So yeah I think if some guy gets caught doing this and spends time in jail, he shouldn't ever be able to buy a gun again no matter what. But the way things are now that guy can spend time in jail and then get right back to business upon getting out. It doesn't completely solve the problem, nothing will.

Background checks on private gun sales are an outstanding idea.

I'm guessing it will take a few days after the rule is enacted for private industry to figure-out how to screen potential (and current) employees for mental health issues using that feature. That will be a real cost-saver, because then they can avoid employing people who will run-up their health care bills. Then we can dump those guys into a high-risk pool and let taxpayers pay for them.

Oh, and if you're depressed, anxious, insomiac, etc. etc., you probably should avoid treatment. Otherwise it may appear in your medical record and someone will help themselves to your mental health history under the guise of a "firearms background check".
