for better or for worse...that's exactly what's going to happen though...sadly it's very much starting to look like another instance of people ignoring numerous warning signs and not taking care of their own (fucked up) family...there was an ancient common law called "attaint of blood" in which your whole family was punished if you fucked up...it was banished from the records many moons ago but, the intent of that law was to make people responsible for cleaning up their own backyard...this kid was a fuck up and his mom bought him guns...not only did she not keep her own backyard clean but, she gave her mental midget son the means to fuck up everyone else's backyard...if one of those dead kids was mine?? today i'd go find the father and the brother who are still alive and i'd put bullets in both of their brains...clean up you own backyard.

I love you, but gimme a fucking break with the "now is not the time to politicize" bullshit we hear after literally every gun massacre.

That is a form of politicization. When political actors construct a political argument that threatens political consequences if other political actors pursue a certain political outcome, that is, almost by definition, a politicization of the issue. It’s just a form of politicization favoring those who prefer the status quo to stricter gun control laws.



My point is that its a horrible fucking argument. People do bad shit everywhere, yes...but last I checked its a tad more difficult to hack 20 people to death with a knife in a crowded area than it is to open fire with an automatic weapon.

Less focus on inanimate objects, more focus on behavior issues, mental health, and how it can play a part in screening buyers. Guns used to be even more easily available in decades past but these random shootings were much less.
Banning doesnt work with drugs or alcohol and wont work with guns

Regardless of if the guns were bought FOR him or not, they were not legally obtained by him. He wasn't even old enough to buy them.

If I go buy a case of Everclear bottles for a 12 year old and he and his friends die of alcohol poisoning, can you blame the age limit laws?

Again, this is not a case of failed gun control. This is a case of a lunatic, who got ahold of weapons not legally registered to him, and went nuts.
