This does not even come close to making any sort of sense. God let Jesus to die for us. Jesus dying is the reason we are all free from sin in gods eyes. He Paid the price for us.

You guys have to remember this isn't a fairy tale. These happenings had witness'. Not just one but thousands witnessed Jesus preforming miracles! Whether you believe in god or not you can't deny the fact Jesus walked on this earth.

Was he perhaps one with his father, because he did the works of his father, and not because they were the same person? And can (the christian) God be a person [human]?

Manifested through "his son" Jesus. Manifested in that Jesus did the works of his father.

Colossians 1:15

Aren't we all the image of god? We were created in his image.

Isaiah 9:6

Folk and Prophecy.

All I know is that I didn't come with the assumption that the bible had to be literal to be true so I never had to reconcile that stuff. How many inches fell in the flood??!?! Who cares! I didn't, so I let that go and approached them as stories and I guess that approach left me open and then I would find cryptic hidden meanings in those fun stories that had truth in them even if they were not literal. At some point something shrunk and I was able to manage looking glass cakes. The hard part is staying small.

No disrespect to the the literal crowd. That type of approach gives me anxiety. I really think I'm right, but I could wrong. Whatever is is and whatever isn't isn't. I don't have anxiety about these kind of things.
