What kind of wine do you like?

I don't drink wine; The sulfites make my nose get stuffy.

But my father knows his wines, and he's a big fan of some of the shiraz coming from Australia. Some good ones from the McLaren Vale region from a taste-for-price perspective.

Same. I can't drink most wines. My reaction to sulfites can be pretty severe.

I have found a few that don't have them that are good but in general, I stay away, especially when I'm out because I know my waitress doesn't know and isn't about to go reading bottles.

There are a couple I drink and love though....one that they only sell in Florida around here that I'm obsessed with.

Anyone have any suggestions?

As I tried to advise Plunkster on many occasions:

A typical pinot noir is a difficult grape to grow and susceptible to rot, but it also renders up to 40 times as much resveratrol as other grapes such as merlot and cabernet sauvignon.

However, Californian pinot noire isn't quite as rich in resveratrol as a few other wines made from similar grapes. The highest resveratrol content found in wine comes from the fleur de pinot noir, which contains four times as much as the closest Californian variety.

In a study of hundreds of wines from around the globe, Cornell researcher Leroy Creasy found the highest resveratrol levels in pinot noir grapes grown in cooler, rainy places like the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York and Oregon's Willamette Valley. (In fact, the highest resveratrol content found in a wine was in Vinifera's Fleur de Pinot Noir, with four times as much as the nearest California pinot noir tested; chart).

Yes I drink pinot noir most often when I am out. I have found it's really easy to find a corcked bottle turn you off it real quick. If you are out it is simple send it back, but if you buy a bottle and its off your out cash and no wine.

I get scared when you post serious sometimes
