What is a nice country to live in (please read)

ronki23

New member
I live in the UK and am just getting fed up of all the chavs (uneducated, thieving,get-pregnant-at-13, fake tan and black hair), high tax rates and crappy weather.

I wish to live somewhere with:

A. Nice weather
B. Good taxes
C. A benefit system not being abused
D. Good healthcare
E. Good people (smart and not criminals)
F. Good lookers

I am thinking of:

A. Qatar
B. Singapore
C. Cuba
D. Russia

but I am open to suggestions. What are the 'normal' states of America to live in that nobody makes fun of/ that are different to the masses in that if I want to holiday within America, it will be like another country? I know New Jersey is full of the type of people I don't like, Utah is too weird and Southern states e.g. Texas,Missisipi,Louisiana, etc. are full of racists and rednecks

I don't want to live in: Canada (unless Quebec is quite a different place), New York, California, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, India,UAE or Japan because I like those places too much and I don't want to live in them and end up hating like where I live now. I like Canada because most babes, especially Quebecians come from there. Also, EU Europe is a no because it is expensive

P.S. I like MMA so MMA has to be abundant and legal in this place

that wouldn't be my list, lol. Qatar? In the states maybe you would like New England if you don't want to live in NY. Taxes are cheap in South Florida and there are more women there then anywhere I have ever been.

south central LA, the Bronx NY, south chicago, and West Virginia you will love !

jk bro.. this is C&C people like to joke around, but I don't want you to pack your stuff and move to these places I listed, I would feel bad.

seriously the nicer places in the US are southern California, south FL is nice if you are into that sort of thing.. it is really congested though these days. new england has a wonderful quality of living but the weather can get crappy. Hawaii might be the perfect place for you, but the cost of living is high.

I think you're not going to find any one place that has ALL of those. I personally kind of like winter, so for my response I choose to emphasize criteria C-F. That leaves me with Scandinavia, basically.

I'm obsessed with Finnish culture, but overall what attracts me to Scandinavia is the low level of corruption

Check it:

I'd move to Copenhagan and ride the green wave, nugga.

No, that doesn't mean what you think it means. Look it up on youtube.

I think you have your prorities a little messed up. Living in a country, outside your home is all about safety first. Then you can start looking at other factors.

Your ideas of living someplace you love just sound odd to me.

That being said, Thailand will offer you the following:

1) Very Safe
2) Tropical Climate
3) relatively inexpensive
4) Super people - friendly and sincere
5) Superb medical in the big city
6) World class beaches

So relative to the US - taxes are lower, people are friendly, food is cheaper and it is safer. Hmmm... only thing against it really is you don't want to hate it???

and yes, I am planning on leaving once I hit 23; 25 at the very latest. Just want to study 1-2 more years and then go, get a job, have a couple of wives (don't need to marry them :P), and have some kids in my mid-30's. Of course i'll still be training in MA- both traditional and mixed.

^I'm serious

I see the SEAN countries have been recommended highly-both Thailand and Singapore. Tbh I would never visit a SEAN country because the type of stuff they offer is available in India (beaches and cities) but to live there, it sounds tempting!

Thailand,Singapore,Malaysia- which one is best then? I want low cost of living, good;educated people (not chavs or hicks), little rain (if it does rain only when it's hot), and warm weather.

It doesn't get dark there until 11pm and even then it isn't that dark. Besides being cold as hell. Not for me

Austin, Texas. Its a diverse town, not redneck/racist. Well educated, young, enviro friendly, outdoors oriented, great weather except very hot in summer (now), Low taxes, big college population, low crime, I could go on. About 800K population so not to big or too small.
Plus we already speak english so you wont have that crap to overcome.
You should really think about and let me know if you have any questions. Ive lived here 25 years and dont ever want to leave.

Sweden, Norway, or Finland. The taxes may be high, but the Scandinavians have an excellent standard of living.

Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee, are full of rednecks like you wouldn't believe. Rural and small town folk in those areas are not living in the same century as us. I'll include my state of Arkansas too. Once you get out of the cities, the real people there are "not like us".

As a born and raised Southern bor, I hate to say it but its true. Either im way to used to austin but every time i go to mississippi for family i feel the need to wash the redneck off upon getting back to austin. Could just be my family over there but i doubt it due to the plethora of redneck friends they have that we also met.
But to give a little credit the problem lies mainly in the smaller towns/areas.

meh, your opinion...florida sucks some serious balls if you ask me.
i'd take living in tennesse over florida any day of the week.

Tennessee has a ton of rural people in it. There's a distinct Appalachian culture in the Eastern part of the state. The catch is, it's also the home of Oak Ridge National Laboratories. So we've got a really weird mix because that peckerwood chewing beachc nut may very well have double Ph.D.'s in particle physics and biochemistry.

not saying that cw or db fall into this category, but it seems the ones screaming the loudest against us rural folks are the social elites who only fly over these parts on their way to staten island or beverely hills...personally i'll take a reasonable cost of living and peace of mind living my shit unlocked as opposed to gangs, high taxes, and crazy crime rates.

well, florida is a big state. Most of it sucks, but the places that don't are very nice. I'd only live in 3 cities in Florida, and 2 of them are right next to each other.

i'm pretty sure no one would choose memphis over miami, unless you're too poor to live in miami.

you realize that like half of michigan moved to florida in the past 6 or 7 years, right?

These rural people are good people. It's easy for some to look down on them but many times they've got the common sense that is often missing in the more sophisticated types. I personally really enjoy the rural areas of Tennessee.

fuk memphis or miama, i've been to both...I consider myself pretty well traveled been in most of the states.
and yea i'm too poor to live in miami for sure, to live as good as i do now (big house big yard a few acres of wooded lands)
and bros are ditching MI left and right, going south and west...just no money to be made.
good for the other states, cause the smart folks are fleeing, bad for michigan cause they get stuck with the poor, violent and generally stupid.

LOL @ putting staten island and beverely hills in the same sentence bro.

that makes your statement completely asinine

and yeah, i am one of those people. i don't really care. i don't look down upon country folk, some of them are very nice and good people. nothing wrong with being simple, but ignorance is one thing and not being around civilization drives me nuts personally. I get bored very easily.

i need beaches, a lot of good restaurants, different places to go have a drink with their own unique vibe,a place with people of like minded success and a lot of different culture.

i had my taste of "sorta" country living..at least for me, and i got over it VERY quickly

using staten island as a eastern reference point, I've met quite a few peeps over the years from the island and they all had the same sorta attitude about how awesome they were (lotta good bros though they all remind me of ronnie from jersey shore).
the similiarities between the two distant locales are a lot of people living way above their means trying to front, not everyone in bev hills is uber rich or a actor

there's no similarities dude. staten island is universally considered the trash of the tri state area. it's a running punchline

explain

if by common sense, you mean that they do everything SO FUCKIN SLOW....

then yes.

and bev hills get's a lotta lol's from the surrounding counties/residents...

for different reasons.

It's still one of the most expensive housing markets in the entire US, a ton of celebrities live there and it's well known for its high end shopping.

staten island is expensive, just like an NYC burrough and there's really nice areas, but it's still staten island.

One smugness is "oh, i have so much money. fuck off peasant"

the other smugness is "I'm a douche. fuck off", regardless if rich or not.

in college i had a internship about 90 miles north of nyc...i loved it there, though i couldn't afford to live middle class on the money i make.
not sure how cop/fire bros can live in the area and live respectable.
basically would spend my paycheck in one night of going out.

they get paid more compartively. and it's not like they live in Manhattan.

they'll move to the less expensive burroughs like queens, the bronx or certain parts of jersey. Still expensive compared to 99% of the US, but it is what is.

i think NYPD cops make about $90k after 5 years on the force, not including overtime. If they're smart, they go be Suffolk County cops in long island (the highest paid cops in the country..despite it being pretty low crime).

it's still a grind (watch Brooklyn's Finest)

then yes.

The rural people you hear about are the springer types (sex with cousins, meth heads, etc. etc.). But there are a ton of rural people with deep-seated values that are harder to come by these days. A lot of it is intertwined with their religious values, but to me that's simply a means to an end.

Yeah, this place sucks. There's little between ARE COUNTRY folk and ghetto poors.

I don't think I can ever be a manfuckinghatten presgige whore and argue food and condos, but man, I really need to get back into the civilized world.

My previous world view of the midwest has been destroyed by this state. :(
