do you all even watch wwe/raw?lol

He's never been one of my favs, but he's been there forever, maybe disappear for a bit, but like the undertaker always rising from the 'dead' agian. At least he retired heavy weight champion!!

lol, use to watch religeously, but not so much anymore cause just saw that Miss USA, rima is doing touch enough w/ stone cold! WTF she wants to be one of the divas now?

I watched religiously from 1994-2000. I remember a few years later he had a tables match with Ric Flair. By the end of the match he had lost so much blood he was literally shaking.

I have no idea who that is. Put up a picture. I personally don't understand fake wrestling...But, I don't like to watch real wrestling either.
After I turned 10 years old I stopped liking it.

This, except I believe I was 8 when I realized how retarded it was.

Lol...same page as lart and paddy. I think I was
11 or 12 max when I stopped watching it. Back then at least the characters were more entertaining and there was still debate whether it was fake or real. As a kid, seeing them bleed sometimes made you think it was real.

Obviously as an adult you can figure out that they cut themselves

lotta haters up in hurr!

uamav, that might have been the match where edge broke his neck. thats why he says he's retiring anyways or end up in wheelchair.

If that type of wrestling was real, it'd be called UFC

I am not a big fan of that either. People say I should sponsor an MMA, maybe one day I will. I sponsored a heavyweight boxer over the past weekend. I'll put some video on my FB later probably. Tony Grano is his name and he whooped this guy's ass. I met him through friends I have in the clubbing world.

Edge has had an amazing career...glad he's hanging it up before he ends up crippled. Hopefully he's invested his money wisely and won't be forced to come back and risk his health like so many others.

These guys knowingly hurt themselves. That is weak. I will stick to Jackass/Wildboys if I want that.

How is it any different from an NFL player knowingly hurting himself by playing football? Nobody escapes an NFL career without lingering health issues.

Because the NFL is real. They don't destroy their bodies on purpose. Like cops don't get shot on purpose.

Define 'real'...performing stunts in-ring is as real as it gets...the impact is no different than taking a hit on Sunday. Both are doing something they know is harmful in exchange for large salaries. It's no different.

The cop example is different, since they aren't payed very well in a lot of countries and the odds of being shot are so low.

I just don't wanna argue about this rob. rastlin' is as real as the football. You win.

Edge passed through Knoxville once and we wound-up at the gm together (but obviouslynot working out together).

He was suprisingly small (guessing 6'1" or 6'2") and not unusually strong in lifts. He did appear to be very dynamic and charismatic though.

I may have even started an EF thread about it.

i like to watch it for the chicks underwear matches. otherwise once the ultimate warrior was done, and sting left wcw, and wwf had to become wwe i stopped caring. stupid fucking animal people wanting there f back

I actually enjoy wrestling. It's nothing more than an athletic soap opera, and good entertainment. Sure the matches are scripted, but the performance and physicality are not. Injuries will, and do happen. A LOT more often than you'd think.

That being said, I was 2nd row ringside Tuesday in Albany, NY (yes, Smackdown and Monday Night Raw are NOT live) when this Friday's "Smackdown" taped. It was a blast live, and being that close. Edge had a very heartfelt retirement and turned the championship belt over in ring, but there was a good 30 minutes more AFTER Smackdown was finished taping.

The entire roster came out in respect, Triple H represented the company. Big Show, Christian, and Chavo Guerrero all embraced him in the ring. He gave a very sincere speech and thanked everyone from Vince, to the writers. Even though this was all filmed, I honestly don't think it will air. It may be something for a DVD, or used as a WWE.com exclusive type thing, but with sports entertainment, you never know.

All in all, it will be very interesting to see how it's all edited together for TV, as opposed to what I saw live.

Poor guy. He basically took the Ladder matches to an entirely new level.

But really, what did he expect when he was using the spear as a finisher? Ramming his shoulder and neck into someone over and over isn't going to help you out in the long run.

Agreed...he should have been using a different finisher to protect his neck.
