S sasa New member Apr 2, 2006 #1 I have sometimes after weightlifting and cardio session high blood sugar around 150mg/dl....what it meant? Is it normal? I think is it too much, what cause it? I don't eat during exercise and befor any carbs!! thanks

alex2678 New member Apr 3, 2006 #2 Is this causing any effect on the way you feel? Family history of diabetes? Try testing your blood glucose levels before your workout. Less than 100 mg/dl is too low and requires some type of carbohydrate. 100-250 mg/dl is average for most people. 250+ mg/dl is high blood glucose Usually athletes only have to worry when thier blood sugar levels post workout is +300 mg/dl and they haven't replenished their glycogen yet.
