Excerpt: So my question is honestly how many pullups can you do in a row without stopping? i was training with a guy who was ex military vet and he can do like 48 of them in a row and i was pretty impressed. so i tried it myself and could only do 8. how can i improve my pullups quickly so i can show off too?

    I train 3X a week pullups with 15 pounds weighted to me and i can rip off over 30 like that.

    i also do a lot of gymnastics and monkey bars though too which is my secret. most guys can't do those. it is a combo of being lean and putting in the hours

    48 is a really good number! I don't have a pull up bar at home but guessing I would only be like 10 or so.

    I start every back day with weighted pull-ups. I don't do as many as I can. I start off with bodyweight for 15 reps and keep adding weight 10 lbs at a time for 15 reps until my final set which is a 45lb plate usually for 10

    never tried to max out on those
