zma question

i have a big prob with swallowing pills, so what i do is open up the zma caps put em on a spoon and use like half a cup of juice and suck it bakc. If i use water ill gag it tastes so discusting. My question is because im cutting and i take the zma before bed, are the carbs in the juice harmful? i mean i only use a little amount of juice. Sounds like a paranoid question i know but, someone help me out here.

Open them and put them in your PM shake or eat it mixed in PB. Listening to the way you are taking it gives me a bad taste in my mouth. lol.
 
sugar can kill HGH when you take it right before sleep. just use what you have to for the ZMA. like 2 to 4 oz. at most.

not on any gear at the moment, plus putting it in my pm shake would be taking it with calcium and i was told and it says on label do not take with calcium. What i do now is about 2 oz of juice with some water, and i gulp it down heh.
 
Yeah, don't take it with a protein shake , obviously because the calcium.

2 oz. of juice is only 7 carbs!! That's pretty paranoid bro. It's absolutely nothing to worry about.
 
i know bro, but were all dedicated lifters sometimes stupid things like these get on our minds, thanks for the help bros.

Actually, the whole 'do not take with calcium thing' is basically bogus. As are the claims that ZMA is somehow better than taking regular old zinc and magnesium--which cost much, much less. It's all part of an evil plot by Victor Conte(He's the 'creator' of ZMA.)
 
well, i got some prolab zma for free so it wasnt a rip off, although when its done, im gonna look into buying , zinc and magnesium seperately. To clear something up, take the zma 60 mins after down my last shake?

You shouldn't take zinc with calcium because they compete for absorption. What's bogus about that?
I agree with you, taking regular zinc + mag is the same thing as long as there is no calcium filler.
An evil plot? There are plenty in this industry. At least he made the need to supplement zinc and magnesium more apparent to athlethes who are usually deficient. But yeah, he's out to make a buck like everyone else.

There are several studies showing that ingesting 500mg up to 2g of calcium does not substantially affect zinc absorption.

He could have easily done this without making dishonest claims about the efficacy of his product vs just taking some extra zinc and magnesium. Further, his conduct on MFW has been inexcusable. From what I've seen, he is a piece of shit(Of course, the same can be said of most in the bodybuilding/supplement/fitness industry.)
 
so guys how should i take the s tuff with my last shake? should it be the zma first then 1 hr , 1hr 15 mins later down my shake and sleep, or take the shake then 1hr , 1hr 15 mins take the zma and sleep.
