Ok here's the deal. 5 months ago I hit a plateau, and decided to look into AS. I wanted to research first, so I started reading up on things. I found many different sources of credible information. I also found EF which offers 1st hand exp and real conversation and feedback. I have read just about every thread that has been posted over the last 5 months and quickly realized that I need to get my diet “in check” before turning to AS for the extra edge. Well now the diet has been in place for a solid 4 ½ months and I am starting to see some slight gains in both strength and size. I am planning on staying natural for another 6-8 months depending on how the gains continue. I basically want to get some feedback and info as to what the experienced persons would say about my proposed cycle.

Current Stats:
29 yrs old
5’9”
168 lbs
12% bf

Daily Meals:
7am- 2 egg whites 1 whole egg and ½ cup oatmeal and 40 gram whey protein. BCAA/Multivitamin/Vit C&D/Zinc/Flax Seed/Omega 3/Ginger root/and Coconut oil

10am- 10 pieces of beef jerky (homemade- low sodium made from 96 % lean ground
meat approx 60 + grams protein) and fruit

12:30- Tuna (2-3 cans) or Chicken (8oz breast); ½ cup rice; broccoli or another veggie

3pm- 10 pieces of beef jerky and fruit OR cottage cheese and fruit and BCAA

6pm- 8-16 oz fish, chicken, or lean beef. Veggies

8:30- Myoplex shake from the packet not RTD.

Workouts:
M- Shoulders/chest/back and abs
T- Cardio 30-45 minutes either bike or elliptical
W-Leg and abs
TH- Cardio 30-45 minutes either bike or elliptical
F-Bi’s Tri’s and abs
Sat-Normally swim 75 laps (25 freestyle, 25 breast stroke, and split the last 25 into side stroke R and L.
Sun-relax and eat/do whatever I want

I use almost all dumbbells in order to impact the stabilizer muscles, I hate flat bench. Will use solid bar for incline/decline but dumbbells for flat bench. (go ahead, poke fun if you feel necessary)

6 to 8 months from now I am planning on my 1st cycle, and I think it will look like this:

25 mg dbol-ED wk 1-4
200 mg test Enanthate, every week: wk 1-8
20mg Proviron ED to cut down on bloat or water retension
Nolva: 60-20mg tabs on hand incase the dreaded bitch tits decide to show up.
Milk Thistle
Flax Seed
Omega 3
Ginger Root

Post Cycle: Debating between Clomid and “the other way”
Clomid would be 200mg 1 day, then 100 mg ed for 10 days, then 50 mg ed for 10 days. Starting 2 weeks after last test shot.

Natural would be: Maca/ Avena Sativa /Zinc/ R-ALA not sure on doses yet, but….will look into things more before cycle time.

I may substitute Sust. for the enanthate at 250mg every week, not sure yet. Will have to do more research and see what the experts (you) suggest. Please, no BS with over 500 mg doses or 5-6 substances cycles for a beginner, you will be wasting your thoughts because I won’t listen to it.

Anyhow I think that about covers the info you need. Now what I need to do in order to do make this happen is wait a few more months (6-8):
1) get a source (no I am not asking, no offence but I don’t know that I would want to trust a source name from someone I never met and only chatted to on the internet)
2) Find out what it will cost and save the money expecting around 400.00 (am I close)
3) Order the gear and pinz
4) Hide it from my wife (she would blow a fuckin gasket)
5) ENJOY

Any suggestions you would be willing to provide would be greatly appreciated. I still have a lot of time to research, but that is why I am asking now, so I can take the responses into consideration.

Are you cutting or bulking right now??

If your bulking, I would suggest more carbs, and ditch the cardio, if not, things seem to be in check.

You appear to have done your homeowork however. :)

When you decide to go ahead with AS, be sure to keep us updated with your progress.
 
It all looks good.

Personally, for a first timer, I'd either use Primo instead of test (up to 400 mgs) or if you use the test, go with 25-30 mgs of var instead of d-bol.


You shouldn't need Clomid. And yeah, ditch the cardio.

fuck the cardio, I agree with Nelson and up the test to 400 mg week. I would run some liquidex (armidex) through the cycle to keep the bitch tits at bay. I know I thought I was safe without anti-e's. Ask my surgreon, he will tell you I was wrong.

Should I cut the cardio now or continue and try to get the body fat a little lower before I start my cycle? Sorry it is a little misleading but that is the workout and diet I am on now. Once the juice starts flowing through my veins I will stop cardio and increase calories and protein consumption.

oops, wanted to add this earlier, but...... BigP even though I will have nolva on hand should I still run some liquidex (armidex) during the cycle?

What are your goals? Are you just trying to pack on weight? I hate to see anyone cut out cardio.

You say you've hit a plateau, have you tried periodizing your workouts? How long have you been using the same routine? How have you been varying your volume and intensity?

You've come pretty far naturally, and if the only reason that you're thinking of hitting the juice is because you think you've hit a plateau...there are other ways around it.

Not saying you shouldn't juice, just saying that you can probably keep making gains without it if you want.
 
Bulldog here are the answers to you questions

1)Goals are to hit a solid 175-178 with little BF gain- I know that I will probably add some water and unwanted weight but once I cut it off I would like to have gained a good 7-10 lbs lbm.
2)I change up my workout routines every 16 weeks with a 1 wk break in between. Pyramids, supersets, ect. Changes every 16 wks, sometimes heavier wt with lower sets, others lower weight fast and burnouts.
3)The reason I feel that I hit a plateau is because I the last yr I had only gained 2 lbs, did not loose any bodyfat stayed between 12 and 13 %.

Yeah, since I have started eating differently I have gained 1.5 lbs went from flat dumbbell benching 80- 4 times to 85 6 times. I am definitely seeing gains with the new eating habits that is why I have decided to put off the cycle for 6-8 months. If I am still making gains then I will not hit the juice. However if I stop again, I want to have the backup plan in place.

Nelson, you say I won’t need the clomid. Is that because of using the other alternative, the low doses, or if I would go with your idea of Primo and var?
 
Bro...you've hit a plateau because of your training. Changing it up every 16 weeks is not nearly enough..."Strength training programs lose their efficiency after only two weeks since the body adapts very rapidly tothe stress of training loads." That's from Charles Poliquin in Five Ways to Increasing the Effectiveness of Your Strength Training Program.

You gotta vary it WAY more often than 16 weeks...I believe it was found that switching it up every 4 weeks is optimal. Try it out...Try to look up some info on periodized workout schedules...if you can't find anything, just email me...I have a shitload of books and articles about it from my school's strength and conditioning department.
 
very well, I will start switching things up every 3-5 wks. Starting wednesday morning. I have cardio tomorrow. I will look and see what I can find as far as workout schedules. If needed I may take you up on the offer to supply me with some different workouts. Thanks for the info.
