Your mission is...

So what did they want you to replace it with? Did they give you any ideas on how they want to approach it, or what the finished product is supposed to look like?

They are friends with another client of mine and they liked the feel of their friend’s house but we discussed that we can have a similar feel but we should try and respect the Mediterranean Revival style of the house’s Architecture. We’re doing all the public spaces first (plan now start work in October) and next spring all the bedrooms and in fall all the baths and possibly the kitchen. In a perfect world they will have their house to use for summers 05 and 06.

All the floors are coming out, columns, decorative molding on all the doors – they will be planed and either stained or painted, the silver baffles in all the pot lights will be changed to white while all color will be striped from the house. The house will be done in a monochromatic theme of chocolate, greige and shades of white and the only color in the house will come from accessories and window treatments.

We haven’t gone as far as discussing furnishings, I have some ideas as far as direction and I suspect some of the furniture will be reused and reupholstered while others will be donated or given to family.

Two words - wood paneling.

How old is the house, and how long ago did the "two guy designers" destroy it?

1989 the house was built as well as the interior.
The guest house is pretty amazing - I'm not sure what happened in the main house.

Interesting, when you say Greek, I always think of bleached white, like some of the villas in Greece. But it sounds like you've picked out some great colors to work with. Nice and simple.

You gotta get rid of all that stuff on the floors and walls.

Now you have room for weights, billiard table, pinball machines, TV's, refridgerators, microwaves, aquariums, bars, bar tables, jacuzzi's, ping pong tables, massage tables.

You know.....guy stuff. :)

I'll takes the sconces btw.

Congrats on getting the account. Congrats to the home owners for having the Bushbarians working hard to help them with their burden.

What kind of people live in it?

They're very nice.
From my first few impressions and factual info.

Retired, polite, considerate and mostly unconcern with their riduclous amount of wealth. The husband is really funny and the wife is very athletic.

shit thats a lot of faux.... that probably cost them a fortune to have done.. now they want what.... a coast of some white and off white flat to cover it all up?
