Your mission is...

Hotel lobby is the perfect description.

Only clicked the first pic, too long to dl, but they need to change that tile also. It's awful. That faux is awful, and the firplace needs work. Maybe some people like that look, i don't know

I almost bought a distress sale for investment where the husband, who was in the marble business, did the entire house floor to ceiling in marble. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen. And it was beautiful marble, top quality all the way. But it just everywhere, covering everything.

Hate to stereotype but Italians like to marble/tile the whole house. I`ve seen it so many times, living in NJ...

Looks like a ton of work. I agree about the goldish stuff everywhere. Maybe white or some other color for the accent light housings. Also more wood furnishings and less leather and marble might tone it down a bit (or darker color leathers). The photo over the fireplace, the golden frame it just seems like a lot of gold accents for my taste. Although, it is a lovely home with lots of light and space. I bet the afters will be interesting. It would appear you have the lighting and space to go in many different directions. I am sure it will be fantastic when it is all said and done.

Ding, tell the man what he has won.

What's even sadder, is if the house were comparable to the rest of the neighborhood, he likely tore out a great deal of lovely woodwork to do what he did.

I'm constantly amazed at the things people paint over or tear out:)

I'd change out the plants and call it a day.

The lower level entry.

It's all faux finish - the floor, the walls and the ceiling.
I told her it all needs to go especially the tribal sconces. :worried:

Again, these are BEFORE photos.

It's just TOO color coordinated for my tastes.

LOL

The whole house is faux finish.
No real stone was used outside of the baths and kitchen.

Seriously - I wish someone else could see this interior live - it took me days to wipe the terror off my face. The owners are such nice people and I'm just blown away that they paid these two guy designers to destroy this house.

Did Christopher Lowel do that? ;)
