Yeah, all their albums rock. I think Swampsong is the best thing they've done but definitely give the other two a look, you won't be disappointed, I can tell you that.

My favorite cut from that album is Thy Horror Cosmic. Yeah, they ditched their singer awhile back and were auditioning new people. I was going to give it a shot but I didn't want to actually move out there to practice.

They do a cover of Paint it Black on their EP/demo which is pretty good.

i like it, definitely worth the money. i guess it depends on your tastes. they're kind of goth metal, but i like it.

i for one am not a big fan of bands with female vocalists, but in this case i think the band is pretty good. and i like how the male vocals complement the female's.

a much better band than evanescence. and look who is the more popular of the two - just goes to show that good music often doesn't make it mainstream.

centurymedia.com has some mp3's you can check out, if you haven't heard them yet. "heaven's a lie" is a real good song.

Anyway, I'm always trying to find some earlier Lacuna Coil releases, but can never find anything cheaper than like $17. I hate that.
 
that chick in Lacuna Coil is fucking hot!!! I don't really care for their music but she's fucking hot.

I agree about evanescence. very overrated.

yeah i haven't been able to find the older discs yet either. but that's cause i buy my cd's used. just like i can't find ANY dark tranquility cd's used. i think i'm gonna break down and buy some new.

heh, I was a little disappointed in that Alabama Thunderpussy disc. Maybe I need to give it a few more spins. But, so far I like Staring at the Devine better.

Now that Premonitions of War disc is pretty brutal.

How's that one, too? I've heard some of them, and it's one of few black metal bands I think I actually like.
 
Of the ones I bought yesterday, I have only listened to that Satyricon. It's really good. Not your typical "black metal" sound. I had downloaded a Vehemence tune from Metal Blade that Majutsu mentioned. They are heavy. It's "death metal". I'll keep everyone updated on these new ones. I have the new ones in the Tahoe. I will give them a good listen to and from work/gym

I need to listen to it a few more times. But I liked what I heard. Out of that batch I got, I really liked that Carnal Forge so that is what I've been listening to the most.

2) Why, metaphysically, would anyone "have to" like "that stuff"? What sort of aesthetic socialism mandates that someone act as a big poop pillar supporting the canopy of crap culture? Crap culture should of course fall of the weight of its own crappiness. Once artificial supports of crap culture are eliminated, it would, in true cultural capitalism, sink of its own stink.
