Your experience in meeting up with old friends after a long time

Bros I started school this Thursday. I have changed a fuckload and it's amazing how jealous ppl can get. Some brush off my hard natural work by claiming I just got some shit back in Brazil, and in my school in Paris, I am the only one that lifts weights. While I am not "big" nor huge, I look like a gorilla next to any of these guys , especially being 5'5, and while I like it, it gets pretty uncomfortable because I cannot have a talk with the subject being brought up. Am i the only one with this mindset? What should I tell ppl to shut up a bit? I know I obviously gonna get attention, but a bit too much is not what I want. I just want to have fun, chat with friends, but fuck, with it being brought up every conversation, I start getting pissed off - and they blame it on the juice. It pisses me off like hell.
What to do?

When they bring up "the juice" it's all jealousy shinning right through their speech. Only thing you can do is deal with it. And smile knowing they wish they had what you have.

I have to agree. Its basically the same principle of how belittling others seems to make some people feel superior. In this case if they accredit your prowess to juice, in thier limited little minds, it is somehow supposed to belittle your gains. Natural or not, it takes a fuck of a lot of effort to add size, if it didnt, everyone would be huge and as we all know, that just isnt the case.

Well said,

bro.. 100% of the school thinks i juice. I came back to school 20-25 pounds heavier. I get accused everyday.. Its kewl though. They are all jelous.. (and most of these people that say this are my friends playin around). fuckers..

It's a tough situation. People are going to be jealous of you because of how you look, plain and simple. It's much easier and more comfortable for people to write you off as a juicer than to give you credit for your hard work. That way, in their mind, you're no better than they are, regardless of your dedication and work.

Those of us who obviously lift weights most often make a first impression of arrogance. Which is understandable because many of us are. So it's almost as if we have to overcompensate to be accepted. In other words, I think we have to go out of our way to be nice to people sometimes, just so people know that we are approachable and not all self-involved idiots.

So anyway, I don't think telling them to lay off will do you much good. Best to let it roll of your back. Comes with the territory I suppose.

One more thing, you might consider how you're coming off to them. Do you wear t-shirts that are two sizes to small? Tank shirts in 12 degree weather? I've read your posts and you don't strike me as the type, but who knows. Just my .02

Just be as nice to them as possible.
After a while, they'll just give up.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT inflame matters by arguing,
that'll just add more fuel to the fire.

And BD you're 16, this type of behaviour from other teenagers
is normal. They'll put down anything they don't understand.

As people say in Spain " El que se rie ultimo se rie mejor"

Godspeed

No I don't wear those tshirts. I wear normal polos , jeans etc. While not the baggy skater type, it's not tight stuff either.

that's because you really do juice ! lol

I hear that "you must be on roids" thing every time I go out to a club and see people I went to school with. I left utah at a young age to go to boading school and now when I see these bastards they start smilling "damn bro are you on roids or what" I smile and say you would look good to if youd take your ass out of the bar and got it into a gym, then they say ya youre probably right.

Dude, it's the same with everything desireable in life, like a nice car, hot girlfriend, good job or muscular body. To alot of others who can't have any of these things, it's easier for them to think that your parents bought you the car, you're hung like a horse (wait, that's not a bad thing!), dad's the boss or you're on juice, rather than accept the reality of your hard work, etc.

One more thing, i'm sure you're getting laid a hell of a lot more than those fuckers who always seem to have something to say.
