JIM,
I'm not mad at you, why would I be?
If I followed the advice of a few members here, ref. Conan's in trouble thread. I would be asking you ...
"Is there something I should be upset about? Is there anything you would like to tell me about?"
But since I'm not mad and I hate mind games (and dammit my father taught me how to manipulate like the best of them) I would not say that or anything like it to you.
What irks me is when couples, on purpose or not, suck you into their dysfunction and have you mediate they arguments or problems. I've just had that happen with a husband and wife that are constantly bickering at each other like brother and sister, every single day.
She's too fat.
He's not spontaneous enough.
She too bitchy.
He's always hanging out with his friends, play ball, working out.
He insults her, she tries to out do him by insulting him nastier. No one wants to hang out with them anymore because it's getting really old now.
I am also irked (since you asked) because they - yes they as a couple asked me who I thought was right. So I told them. I told them that they were both petty, he should have never married a Latin girl with a big bootie if he favors skinny white chicks and she should know better that if you marry for money you had better play the part - you are trinket and an arm piece and should present yourself as such.
Anwhoooooooooo
THAT is my rant.
And for TXcollegeguy - you know what the right thing to do is and I know you will find the best way of telling your friend. But let me say this - if she has become all chummy chummy with you after your friend went away or while he is not around - THAT IS A RED FLAG for you to keep an eye on. A bored girl making nice nice to her beau best bud when he isn't around is just bad news.
