I read on here a lot about people not doing legs? Or do I have to work out legs? Well the answer is yes!!! and I just came across a site that breaks it down for you very well in a four part article.

Part 1: Debunking the myths

Part 2: Why squat?

Part 3: How to squat

Part 4: Tips, tricks, and troubleshooting

A good read for those who doubt the Squat!!!

nice! so true

Krista's site is still being passed around? Good to hear. She used to be a regular at misc.fitness.weights

You're both wasting your time unless you pre-exhaust the core with DB lateral raises, ideally while kneeling on a Swiss ball.

I don't think this needs to be said, but this is all AFTER the spin class right?

I move the Swiss ball over by the leg press so I can bail in the middle of a lateral raise rep and start my supersets. My legs never see it coming...really shocks the muscles!

Oh, my, is that what people mean when they talk about shocking the muscles? That should save on the electricity bill.

Squats are amazing. They hit so many muscles and they are ideally the quickest way to develop your legs.

Great info. Thanks. :)

screw squats. I mean c'mon guys, what's more impressive to the ladies-- squatting, or picking up the heaviest dumbbell and swinging those arms up!? The chicks love my big biceps bruh.

I think the squat is HAWT when the guy does it RIGHT! Ass to ankles baby, not of this halfway stuff! :)

A well-educated training hottie is wayyyy sexier to me than the simple big bicep... and half the time I turn to the guys in the gym anyway and say, "Hey, can I have those dumbbells when you're done?" It KILLS me to see a guy attempt front raises or lateral raises and he doesn't make it all the way up... or he's doing pulldowns with the bar BEHIND his head... or ab work as he's pulling on his neck... or dead lifts and doesn't do a full pull... *sigh*

Just my $0.02 :) If my biceps are bigger than my guys... we have a problem ;)

*Insert Tom Jones here* "She's a laddddddyy... whoa, whoa, whoa, she's a laddddddddy." :nerd:

For real, though, I'm serious about what I said. Smart men in the gym are hot -- when I know more than they do (and it shows) I just laugh at them (quietly and to myself... but I laugh). What's worse is when I catch them TEACHING each other

These guys were out one time and one was telling the other that only pussy people use books to keep track of weights. I gave him the dirtiest look ever, wrote in my book what I just lifted, and then went and grabbed the dumbbells off the rack in front of them (bigger than what they had).

Yeah -- my balls would be bigger if I were a dude, I swear! Guys can be so ... ridiculous. :qt: :D

I like to lay on the Swiss ball while doing leg presses. Then go immediately to bicycle kicks on the Swiss ball. And if I really want to kick it up a notch I add ankle weights. That is the best way to work the core.

Hey behind the neck pulldowns are a legit exercise...

Squats are overrated. I get a much better pump from leg presses supersetted with leg extensions.

You need to watch a bunch of people over a span of a few years. Watch the ones who do a lot of squats, the ones who do them sometimes, and the ones who never do them. Big difference.

lol, that post couldn't have been more facetious.

Not following you. I know what facetious means, I'm just not understanding what you are implying. Sorry my man.

Given the rest of my posts on this forum, and the ridiculous "shocking the muscles" follow-up post, I thought it would be obvious that that post shouldn't be taken seriously. I've never done a leg press or leg extension, let alone supersets of them, in my life.
