Basically, the same thing can be said about heterosexuals, especially in places such as Africa. I didn't see his "statistics", and I don't have to. It's already known that AIDS took a devastating toll on gay people in America and statements such as his are aimed at placing a label, AIDS, onto gay people and at the same time laughing at those that are gay and are suffering from AIDS (ie, the cool thing about gays). I guess in a twisted world, then yeah - that's just fucking hilarious.

AIDS isn't just a gay disease . . . read those statistics.

Where are you seeing any statistics in this "You ever walked into a gay club" thread that he posted?

And regarding refuting any statistics, it's the way that he worded his statement and not about statistics. You can state statistics and also have some level of humanity to the way you say things.

In addition, however, if you're referring to his statement, "a cool thing that alot of gay people have is aids.." and my desire to refute it - what is there really for me to refute about some stupid-ass statement like that? The same could be said about many groups of people, only I'd leave off the "cool" part.
