Yeah Michael Moore, Please Lecture Us on Nutrition

It feels good to read that so many bros are smart enough to see through Moore's propaganda films, and his crazy ideas. I'll never understand how it's McDonalds' fault if someone is fat because they choose to eat burgers and fries.

Anyone who needs to find somebody else to blame for everything they personally choose to do wrong, is a weak coward.

Charles

Unfortunately, the Michael Moore style of "documentary" filming has adopted by everyone with a political agenda. You cherry pick quotes from edited film based on interviews given through the use of false pretenses. The fact you claim to be making a "documentary" then gives false credibility to what is essentially a propaganda film. Even Hollywood has caught on and Moore's last film wasn't even nominated.

does that argument hold water when it's children being raised on that food? no, no it doesn't. And does it still hold water when it comes out that companies are specifically manipulating the ratio of those three prior mentioned ingredients to mimick heroin use? Yes you heard that right....that's what they're doing. So why is heroin illegal if food companies can mimick the same pathways with the proper frequency of salt, fat and sugar?? If we can buy it legally at a drive through for 99c why can't I heat up a spoon and shoot it into my arm?

Granted the strength of the signal is "obviously" going to be much greater when you take the real deal and shoot it like that......but cumulatively the effects are equally as bad for people who reinforce those pathways over decades of this shit eating feces habit.

That's what parents are for.

I'd think being able to distinguish McDonald's from heroin would be a critical life skill. Clearly we've upset the natural Darwinian process.

well it's become apparent that "parents" in this country are breeding a generation of kids that are going to cost us trillions in healthcare whether we're capitalists or socialists. THis has already been established. And there's some army generals who got together to write a book about this topic and it would seem they agree with my point of view.

California is considering banning fast food companies from advertising "toys" that come included with their meals for children.

Good^^

If it wasn't acceptable for tobacco companies to pander to children it "sure as hell" isn't acceptable for the diabetes panderers either. Apparently they free market doesn't work here or else we wouldn't be discussing whether in 20 years there's anybody in this country that "doesn't" have diabetes.

If you still think it's simply those kids fault's...go educate yourself on epi-genetics. If you don't realize what it means for children to be predisposed and born with certain disease's..what it means for the fabric of this society, than you're just done. I've been hinting at this for some time and you show no signs of "getting it". You're done, over. If you ever had it I have no idea but I'm sure at some point, like when you were 4 maybe.....who knows. :whatever:

Hopefully we can form a new government agency to tell people exactly how to raise their children.

And maybe McDonalds is in a secret pact with Invitrogen to genetically screen children to find the food additives they are most addicted too. I smell shenanigans!

Here's a few big ideas:

1) Worry less about unmeasurable amounts of obscure toxins under each rock (or inside every big mac) and worry more about not getting fat.

2) Fat parents make fat kids because evolution programmed kids to mimic their parents behavior. All the ones who couldn't learn by imitating mom and dad died-off 100,000 years ago.

3) Make people responsible for their own health. If they want to smoke, fine. But no one else needs to pay for it. Same thing goes for food, exercise or any other behavior.
