XL or XXL??

Just curious if anyone else has this problem when buying shirts. If I buy XL its almost too tight too wear, and if I get XXL, its like I just bought a cape.. I need something inbetween XL and XXL if there is such a thing.. :worried:

Sleeve lengths are my issue. Shop around a lot to find certain brands, and then stick to them. For example Kenneth Cole and Springfield shirts and Gap worker jeans are consistently awesome for my build; their XL shirts are tapered from the shoulder to the waist so they don't billow out.
If you can't find a decent brand then (a)start shopping Big & Tall (b) find a tailor (c) less protein, more cardio

Brands help.
Arrow XXL has a tighter body.
I also find that females like discovering what is under there, rather than seeing it with tight clothes.

Back in the late '70's Arrow offered a "Tapered" fit in there dress shirts....I guess the fattening of America put an end to that....

Exactly.

They need to do something, im tired of not finding clothes that fit.. I like abercombie and fitch, and the past few years they are finally making XXL clothes that fit me good. It does seem once you get into the XXL and above, they start charging extra, which I dont understand.. I guess you have to pay to be big..

apparantly the style de jour is changing at lots of companies like Express, Structure. XL used to be just fine even if big at the waist. Now more companies are doing the skinny shoulders instead of the wider relaxed shoulders. but then going to the XXL gets the tent look you're talking about.

in response to the red digger gave to this post, i wasnt insulting thelion...

i was sayign that when you wear the loose shirts nad have lots of muscle and it hangs off it, alot of people assume your fat, instead of wanting to see whats under there...

for example everyone thinks im fat, and then sees me with my shirt off and goes oh damn i thoguth u were fat, ur jacked, cause i wear huge shirts...

Shoot first, ask questions later, it's the standard MO. SOMEONE got up on the wrong side of the bed alright...

I ripped an XXXL shirt when trying it on in Hungary last month. Crazy that not many places have XXXL shirts but they seemed to have all kinds of XS and S men's shirts.

You guys are some big boys, its funny too..these shirts will fit good in the stores, than as soon as you take them home and wash them, its over.. They no longer fit good in the shoulders, but the tails go down to the knees.. :(

I thought I was the only one having problems..

I don't have any trouble with the length, but then I have a long torso and short limbs.
