I understand that the school isn't involved so they can do whatever they want but how does that make the black students feel.

If the black students held a prom for only blacks the white kids wouldn't care because they couldn't go, they would care cause they would be calling them racists.

I think it's the mentality of the people down there. They have this feeling they are above black people still.

Throw one fucking prom and if you want throw and after party and invite who you want.

That's the polar opposite of PC. White students holding their own prom because they don't want one with blacks. That's about as un PC as it gets. Being from Georgia myself, this shocks me about as much as morning sunrise does.
