hit me on yahoo suga

I am not at home right now, call your agent and report it but tell them you don't want to file a claim, as of yet. Ask them what the proper procedures are for your policy. Don't mess with them, you are in a contract with them, so follow it closely. Please do this at a minimum.

they can see whoever they want to see

doesn't sound too ethical, specially in a profession that is supossed to have a higher rate of social responsibility.

Listen to what MightyMouse is saying. Contact your insurance agent, get recommendations on how to proceed from them.

Worst comes to worst get your PCP to give you a referral to a neurologist.

The problem is that you're in "limbo land." I've actually been there myself. What I mean by limbo land is that I have to assume either you haven't filed a claim or the other party hasn't filed a claim yet so in reality the insurance companies aren't fully involved. Nothing gets moving until all insurance companies of involved parties are ... well, fully involved, and that usually takes 24 hours during the business week.

We had our car get totalled while it was PARKED -- legally -- in front of our house on the weekend. Since the person who did the hitting hadn't called their insurance company over the weekend my husband wasn't able to go rent a car to go to work (first marriage, we didn't have a credit card then). Once the other party contacted THEIR insurance company a rental car was delivered to our house that night, but it took 24 hours.

Generally speaking, if you want things to move faster than the insurance companies are capable of moving you end up having to go into your own pocket and saving receipts, which get reimbursed when the claim is settled.

so much for hyppocratic oath and all.
fuck the hippocratic oath

its also the origin of the word hypocrisy btw

i don´t care about that communist piece of moralist suppressive crap.

I´m in med school for two reasons- because I´m interested in biology and the human body, and to attain a marketable skill.

If I can make 5 bucks an hour more doing "meaningless" vanity surgeries, or extending the life of a 90 yr old rich dude who doesn´t look after his health, than saving one cute kid after another, I´ll do the former.

What is this bullshit about doctors "responsibility" to the world? Since when do we owe people jack shit?

Do people look at McDonald´s odd since they don´t give out food to the third world? what´s the difference? people are starving you know.

Somehow doctors are held to this higher standard for some reason. A while back a friend of mine who is a GP got a DUI, which is a minor offence in Belgium really and no big deal. The prosecution at one point said my friend should know better and set an example as a GP since he´s a well known figure in the local community and has some example function. His lawyer took the bait and challenged the court for treating him inequally, and he got off with a fine and a few weeks without a drivers license.
