WTF is this thing???

I have a damn tree in my yard that has this big green oblong seeds that then fall and turn black, I opened one and they dont have a seed or a nut inside, jus some drops of a strong musky fragrance, I tried googling but cant pin point WTF this is.... do any of you know?
