WTF is going on with my Heart??

i didnt read the previous replies to avoid bias, and also, there are some monkeys that post in here and they piss me off with their bullshit theories ;) SO

what you describe happens commonly, and the most common reason it keeps on happening is because it trips off an anxiety disorder. ie you have an episode out of the blue for no reason, and then you start worrying your arse off about it, and so precipitate another episode...and get ven more worried, and precipitate another one...and so on and so on.

so, bottom line is go and get an angiogram to see if you have any abnormal heart waves etc, preferably by a cardiologist. this isnt because there is something wrong with you, its so that you simply stop worrying.

if it keeps up, well then sure you may have an arrhythmia, theyre actually really really common. you pop an arrhythmic every morning for a while, and etest. no biggie. chill out. make an appointment, and there you go :)

cheers

I agree with you regarding the numerous theories in the thread, but GoldenAppleNugg, by all accounts I had you down pat as a baby spider monkey swingin' from branch to branch......instigating riots wherever he perches for the moment, bars by night, pharmacy by day......

hey goldenmonkey, angiograms do not measure heart waves. an interventional radiologist inject a catheter into a vein and uses dye and xray to check the vessels of the heart or other vessels of the body that need to be visualized. but he does need to see a cardiologist for an EKG/halter monitor, stress test, and echo. :) :chomp:

Any advice, or experience with this, please share bros...

Here is what is going on, but first a little background on the situation. My heart will be going along, and then all the sudden, pause for a second, then restart with a hard THUD beat. This has been happening for the past 2 years. I can pinpoint the precise time it started and that was when I took some Turkish Anadrol 2 years ago. I had never before had any such skipping with my heart until I was into the A-Bombs around week 4 or so. I stopped them immediately but I've had this arrythmia or whatever you want to call it ever since. I've seen a doctor about it, and he said millions of people have this and its nothing to worry about.

So with that said, here is why I'm posting. Most of the time, the skipping is infrequent, and doesn't really bother me. I've learned to live with it. However, today in the gym, it got WAY out of hand. Keep in mind I'm in my 6th week of my cycle which you can see in my sig. I'm on the bench and while I'm pressing the weight, my heart is stopping, restarting, stopping, restarting. Those of you that have this will know what I'm talking about when I say when it skips, it takes a little of your breath away. So I'm pressing weight, having my heart flutter over and over again, and I'm thinking WTF is going on here? I stopped and tried to just walk around and I could feel just flip-flopping over and over. I can even put my fingers on my neck to feel my pulse and feel it stop, re-start. Should I just fight through it? Is something wrong here? Why all the sudden is it going off like this? Do any of you know if there is anything in particular that can set off the arrythmia like this?

Do any of you bros experience anything like this at all? Should I just not worry about it? Thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post but it was really freaking me out. I just want to be safe. These visions creep into my mind you know, while I'm there pusing the weight, of the lights going out for good...

well i dont know what 2 say but i'll pray for u, by the way is that u in ur avatar?

I was happy to add some flavor to the Pilot's post.....

Indeed, he is truly a GoldenSpiderMonkey..........moreso than a Gorilla or Baboon.....

true, while i will admit that your post has a nice ring to it...

having an angiogram done will give some idea of where you would expect to see an abnormal wave, whether it be an inverted P wave, or something more difficult to visualize where one would need all the V leads to see.

SF - I had this EXACT problem. It wasn't from taking AAS as I had never experienced with them. I actually had a stress test done. They told me my heart was in perfect shape and of course it wouldn't do it when they were watching for it. They gave me a device to hold over my heart when it happens again and I dial a certain number and play it into the phone. For me though, when it happens - it's usually very short and only a couple times so I never got a good recording. They didn't act like it was a big deal.

I hardly ever get them, maybe....once every couple months. But I have noticed if I start drinking, like the first 30 minutes of drinking I'll notice it. But then it goes away.

I am no doctor, but I actually think a lot of people have simliar experiences. On the other hand, the AAS could have set something off? Might be worth a stress test just to check and for PEACE OF MIND - something that always makes me feel better. Anyways, best of luck - share the results!
