Wrists are weak!! Any advice

When lifting heavy weights preferably doing preacher curls.. once i set the bar back onto the stand and let go of it my wrists suffer a quick sensation of pain... Any advice or exercises to do to strenghten the wrists.

-behind the back wrist curls
-sitting wrist curls

Eventually your wrist will catch up to the rest of you arms, but I'm sure any wrist curls or even grippers may help speed up the process.

Farmer's walk is great for developing grip strength. Basiclly, grab a heavy set of DBs and walk with them at a brisk pace, until your grip almost fails. Do 2-3 sets.

don't rotate the wrist on any BB curls. I had the same problems on BB curls and preacher curls. My wrist would hurt SO bad. What I realized was I was curling my wirsts into myself on every rep and when I did this that is when I got pain. Once I focused on keeping my wrists in a straight posistion the pain stopped. I actually had to fight this today because my wrists were beginning to hurt from doing cheat curls for the last few reps of my sets. To stop it, I looked at my wrists while I curled and made sure they didn't move and the pain stopped.

The pain might come after your set but it is being caused during your set.

You have the first stages of tendonitis. Get some ibuprofen and ease off the weights for a week. Then, when your wrists have healed work the knots out of the tissues wth some high rep sets of wrist curls every day for a few weeeks. After taht, get into forearm training using a gripper, and doing things like chins, deads and rows.
