I cook all of my chicken, turkey patties, tiliapia and steak on my George Foreman grill...

Well for a while I would clean it up everynight until recently as I'm using it three times a day.. Now when I clean it my food doesn't taste as good.. something about what ever it is left on the grill cooks it better. I don't preseason my food so its just the juices from the meat...

Anyway, I am not cleaning my grill between meals anymore... :p

I clean my grill with fire. Never clean it. Grease fires make it almost new :D

Doesn't that make it harder to clean? I like to clean that thing as soon as I'm done with it.

yea it does... The longer I go between cleanings the better it taste though.. LOL

And from cleaning it soo much I was seriously wearing the nonstick surface down.

I need a smaller one, I have that big monster one and its a bitch to clean already.

Don't worry about it, it get's pretty darn hot on preheat so i don't think germs are a problem. Can't be any worse than my outside grill. Just run a wet paper towel over it before it cools. I've done that to mine for years.

Just wipe the burnt parts off, and you'll be good to go. Well at least you won't be considered ucky.

i don't use a george foreman but my propane grill that i use every other day hasn't been cleaned since i bought it 4 years ago. every time i grill the food tastes better than the last :p

well considering i was tired enough to read it as "i cook all of my children" the real story doesnt seem nearly as bad

Its the yummy bacteria~ They just had a party right after you finished!

it isnt the greatest thing to do, since residual fat goes rancid on the grill surface and is actually cancer causing.

i used to rub fat offcuts on the grill plate on a warm (not too hot) grill surface while it was heating up to get a bit of that 'used' flavour without the nastiness of week old rancid fat

the amount of rancid fat youre eating isnt terribly dangerous though, and if youre preheating the surface of teh grill, bacteria isnt going to be an issue anyway, so really its up to you what you do

dammit frisky im peckish now :( i miss my old grill, i had it worked out and could control cooking like a champ. it takes ages to get used to a grill!

nah... just let the bacs build up until you have explosive projectile 'rhea like knockin the top of a fire hydrant...

:worried:

(note to me, get friskers some PAM spray, negligable fat cals, it will help seal up the Formans no stick surface so she can just wipe the fecker off with a paper towel when its still hot and 'clean' it that way ;) as long as she remembers to spray it ONLY after its warm.... )
