Doctors are not prescribing pain medication for fear of being arrested by DEA agents. This is fucked. It was bad enough when they 'protected society' by kicking down the doors of 80 year olds and stealing their medicine (marijuana), now they are targeting doctors who are trying to alleviate chronic pain.
I swear to fuck if Canada invaded tomorrow and put a regime change in at the DEA i would be out in the street celebrating. Fucking worthless fucking human beings.

Oh they have priorities, but they are completely out of whack. They, along with the INS, are in need of a major overhaul.

INS needs an overhaul. The DEA needs to be abolished. I do remember the US getting along for many decades before their formation, all while many drugs were OTC.

Who would you suggest enforces drug laws against cocaine, heroin, etc?
Should the FBI's drug force handle it? This would be an interesting idea.

Realistically, that will never happen. It would solve a lot of problems though.

Why do you think that I advocate these items being illegal? I already mentioned that many drugs, actually all of those you mentioned, were at one time OTC prior to the formation of the DEA.
Did the US nearly fall into the ocean due to drug problems before the DEA? No, seems that the real problems started after the illegalization of drugs.

It seems we didn't learn our lesson with alcohol prohibition. All it does is waste taxpayer dollars, makes small time thugs into wealthy organized criminals, and corrupt the law enforecement officers tasked with stopping them. Would it be that terrible to abolish the scheduling of drugs, decriminalize use, and allow doctors the freeom to prescribe drugs as they see fit?
